Ive used Dalle just a couple of weeks now, beginners get 30 credits free. It was pretty disappointing to me, the only plus point is that it can give u photoreal stuff but human faces are mostly distorted and it is detects any gore or nsfw stuff so you have to be very careful with text prompt. I may have to try this midjourney thing since everyone is talking about on youtube these days.

Since Dall-E 2 offers "outpainting" it lets you expand existing images to large pictures. You add overlapping fields to an existing image and Dall-E tries to continue the scene in the existing way, with further commands.

If I want my images to be private for my website and other things...what happen when I stop using Midjourney private? Will my previous creations and be available in the gallery then? They provide to little information be default and I get nuts trying to understand how Discord works. Thanks for a great video though to a new subject for me. From their FAQ: "What if I don”t want my images to appear in the gallery? We are building a open-by-default community focused on collective exploration and fun. it does not work per picture, it is count per GPU time use. Any request, that will involve calculations on GPU will count against your time.

Good video, it introduced me to new possibilities but I understand max res is about 1700x1700 which is really low quality for any real use beyond looking at on a screen. Best I think is to just go try the free version for 20 or so images and try things, this to me is probably the best way to learn, get your hands in it and play.

at first glance, yes, but it is nothing random in there, except for Perlin noise random seed generator. however, you can even control that. Best I can compare to abstract painting, it is look random to observer, but artist, who have skills, it is exactly what they want.

@@Geekatplay I've never heard that about them. I think this is too far. AI anything is terrible for society. People work hard and study their whole lives to do this legitimately and someone has to develop a program that can do it all with a few word inputs? It's not impressive art if it's just some autogenerated pictures. No skills involved. No talent. Nothing. 🤷‍♀️ I just came to see how the program works after seeing someone posting "art" made with it on instagram, to make sure I knew how it worked before making a comment. I could see how people who arent willing to commit time to learn how to draw or paint (because it is a skill, which can be learned), would like to use this as a hobby, but it is nooottttttt good in the job world. Like why pay someone else when you can enter a few words and have a program do it for less? It's horrible.

Do not join Midjourney - it's a real rigmarole! You need a discord account that starts off okay but then it wants your mobile/cell number and so on. It is crap - some middleman is trying to make money out of AI art by making it inaccessible. Midjourney should be free - but Discord - a terrible app - has attached itself to it.
