What is the recommended solution if you have lost your FOBs and forgotten your PIN code for TC, 1st & 2nd generation M8’s? Purchase a new FOB and get it paired to the ECM via a HD Digital Tech II or compatible FOB programmer?

Yes, there is no hack that we know of to get past the security if you do not know your pin or have a fob. Thank you for commenting! MB

You can not change your pin without a the FOB present. Even if you know the procedure. MB

If fob is within range could someone change pin. How close does fob need to be? Know some leave fob in other than pocket.

The security fob will activate/deactivate the bike's security system from approximately 13-15ft away from the bike in any direction. If you are even 15ft away from your bike hopefully you would notice if someone was messing with your bike. Thank you for commenting! 👍 MB

@@DKCustomProducts Main issue is that some riders put fob in saddle bags or other places on bike, and might be more than 15ft from bike, but fob is still in range. Just seems to be a security issue, since if fob is left on bike, anyone would be able to quickly change pin. I keep fob in pocket, but others don't. Also, don't leave fob in house near bike. Friend had bike stolen from house. Fob was within range.

Yeah, well, might be good for some folks to put some thought into their actions & possible consequences...really, no different than a car or truck with a FOB. Don't leave it nearby. KP

Hey dk have a few products I bought from yall and looking for more I recently traded in my twin cam for a M8 and I need help deciding to either put a ebt or a vented transmission top cover . My question is Can I do both the ebt and vented transmission cover I don’t know exactly what to do because I hear allot of talk about the motor needing vacuum and people saying the ebt will cause the bike to lose the vacuum . So I’m scratching my head on what to put on . Is it ok to do both ebt and vented trans cover . Also want to remove the baffle out the screamin eagle exhaust and add the tti it worked really well with the twin is that ok . 2021 sport glide really trying to set the bike up nice for the long run .

Regarding CC vacuum on the Harley M8's- That is an unproven theory...no evidence has ever been produced that documented that this is a factor. It is a theory advanced by folks that were grasping at straws with sumping issues on the M8 that were the result of the less than adequate oil pump on the early M8's. Your bike will still run much better with an EBS, see this video- kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5enlnmQl9GAmc0 Vented dipsticks and transmission cover vents do NOT take the place of external breather systems. There is still hot, oily, oxygen depleted air being fed into the intake. The folks that sell vented dipsticks and trans cover vents, have it right in their product description that they do not prevent all that crap from going into your intake. Here is a copy and paste from the Trask website- "This will reduce the oil exiting from the head breathers..." Even if there is no trace of oil in the intake, there is still hot, oxygen depleted air going into the combustion chambers, making the engine run hotter, and not as strong because of the lower oxygen content. IF you have an older M8, with the older oil pump and you are concerned about sumping...OR, IF you have a built engine with higher compression, then it may be beneficial to do an EBS And a vented dipstick or trans cover vent (to address possible sumping, not anything to do with vacuum). Yes, you can run both the vented transmission cover and the EBS. Yes, the TTI's are a universal item and you will have the same low-mid range torque boost if you install them in your exhaust on your M8. @@DKCustomProductsPerfect explanation means allot coming from you guys I’ve made many purchases from dk over the years and I’ve passed on knowledge and promote your products to every rider I know and meet my word ! The ebs on my vtwin from dk my tti’s on my vtwin my air intake from dk spark plug wires and 2 inch tank lift freaking made my 96 run hard a strong it’s a beast I know this from my own experiences with the products will do the same to this M8 definitely .
