Finally my old friend, a tip that works for me. Tried the hover method at Stonelees and improved my striking. Might even try it this afternoon mid-week stableford! Be good to see you at the club sometime.

Tried the first drill, starting above the ball and felt it helped me start to get rid of my EE. Definitely going to continue using that drill and I’ve not seen it elsewhere.

I played a few rounds with that hovering drill, and they were some of my best rounds ever, in one of those rounds I hit 14 greens, and it was a windy day as well. Thanks for all your great advice Warren!

Many thanks for yet another great tip…never quite understand Tyrell Hatton’s swing….seems to stand up almost immediately at impact unlike other pros
@warrenbennettgolfacademy
@warrenbennettgolfacademy 2 ай бұрын
Thank you. Not so much loss of height in Tyrell’s case pre impact he does stand after that’s for sure, there are always exceptions though. Cheers Robin appreciate the message 👍 Warren

Great videos Warren, you are a breath of fresh air in the golf instruction world. Question; are you saying that the chest has to lower as you swing down in order to stay down?
@warrenbennettgolfacademy
@warrenbennettgolfacademy Ай бұрын
Hi Thomas, thank you for your message, that is so kind of you. Yes, the chest is lowering a bit into it that’s for sure, but remember this is an over exaggerated move to give the golfer the opposite feel to lifting, so in a perfect world it should remain the same. But, becoming lower, having more spine angle can help with better arm structure coming down i.e rear arm folding correctly, thus giving the golfer more lag and power. I hope that helps and wishing you all the best. Warren

speaking as someone who has a very good swing overall, but is frustrated due to thinning way too many of my irons during a round, and not quite able to compress the ball as I'd like to do ....I have been searching for drills that help me " feel " I stay more in posture, at impact, but so far without a lot of success.....I have given these a try and LOVE em.......but now I have to hover over my iron shots or I hit too much of the ground...what should I try ?.... .thank you sir !!!
@warrenbennettgolfacademy
@warrenbennettgolfacademy 2 ай бұрын
Hi Gary, thanks very much for messaging me. One thing that springs to mind without seeing you obviously, is that if your club is running out of room and hitting the ground when going back to normal, I would focus on keeping some flex in the right arm (RHanded golfer) When you see me doing the drill and showing impact, you can see how bent my arm is, this can help in strike and help in keeping hands ahead giving a more ball turf. Hope that helps Gary, if in doubt I’m happy if you want to send a swing over and I’ll have a look, via the Academy Insta or FB socials page. Many thanks Warren

You said something I never heard Gary Player ever say about this drill moving forward and that is not moving your head forward just hands and arms and getting weight off of trail leg.onto lead leg.

Thank you Harold, there will always be an element of head movement but yes I encourage golfers to feel it with arms more that’s for sure. Many thanks for the message. Regards Warren

LOL - the BS never ends. Johnny Miller teaches the only drill / practice that any golfer needs. And gosh, he explains it without a bunch of BS. But then Miller had no needs of BS to get clicks and views or to pretend he knows what he is doing. And believe this, Miller never once set up with his club three inches above the ball. Total BS here.
