I've been learning so much about Islam for the past 6 months and I've honestly fallen in love with it. I've been doing the 5 daily prayers and have decided to fast during Ramadan for the first time! I have 3 hours until iftaar and am very excited to eat haha! I've always liked to think I'm a self-driven person who is able to rely on herself for all things, but having Allah in my life has put into perspective everything I was missing. He's been a support system like no other and, for the first time, I don't feel alone to figure things out for myself. It's a huge weight off my shoulders and heart feels so much lighter. I have a strict high caloric diet because I like to gain/maintain my weight, so not eating every 2-3 hours will take some time to get use to, but I'm confident I can do it! Understanding why Muslims pray 5 times a day, listening to Mufti Menk, learning the importance of the 5 pillars, etc, have been the tools I've needed to do all my prayers and to not break fast during daylight. Channels like Amanda's are also so so helpful. Thanks for this video and I hope you are well girly! ❤️

Omg! Me too! My story is slightly different but this is my first Ramadan as well! I started to deeply learn about Islam about 6 months ago as well! I shortly started to adapt a few Islamic lifestyles as well! I just find it fascinating that I’m not the only one doing and going through the same thing! I personally still have a few things to make my mind on before I truly accept Islam and take the shahada. I also have a few health related worries, I am Anemic which is one of my and my family’s concerns. I have a history of constantly passing out and to fast for many hours are a time, will definitely be a journey for me! Hopefully I can complete it without any complications. Enjoy Ramadan!!!

I'm not Muslim but I have many Muslim friends and I want to wish you a happy Ramadan. I love learning about your traditions and holidays! I'm probably not the first to ask this but if the fasting does cause severe headaches, could you be exempt from fasting? However I do understand the importance of observing that. Every religion has fasting and it is good for the mind and soul. By the way your ''messy'' is my clean! Your food pantry is so not a disaster! Again, have a safe and healthy Ramadan! Hugs from Montreal!

I believe the fasting does cause severe headaches anyway, especially maybe the first few days while your body adapts . I think it doesn’t exempt them from fasting . Normally only health issues which doctors rule you shouldn’t fast .
@samahelhassan53514 жыл бұрын
Just as Abbie said, it depends. The general rule is: if fasting significantly impacts your health , for example if you're a diabetic who needs to have meals on a specific timetable, or if you're a pregnant/breastfeeding woman and you think fasting can negatively impact you or the baby, you're allowed to skip fasting. In fact, it is considered a very serious sin to fast if its a threat to your life. As to headaches, you'll be needing to consult a trustworthy -preferably Muslim- doctor, he'll tell you if the condition warrants breaking your fast or not.

If its a severe migraine then you usually can but if its something caused by caffeine withdrawal or anything of that sort then usually you’re supposed to push through. As a person who’s very prone to headaches I tend to take paracetamol or ibuprofen right before I start fasting.

Hi Amanda, ramadan mubarak to you and to everyone who is fasting here 😊❤️❤️ I love your vlogs, I fînd them so relaxing and they help me improve my english (I’m french of syrian origin) For the blue light, glasses are not just necessary not to have headache and ease your eyes, recent studies proved that blue light destroys the eyes cells irreversibly and can affect your vision. Since I knew it I always have my glasses when I use screens or I put night shift even during the day, it was strange at first but I got used to it 😉❤️

Happy Ramazan to all the muslims around the world. Here in north Iran we pour some basil seeds in a glass of water and after some minutes we drink that. The seeds absorb the water and keep it in your body. You become less thirsty.
