How to Stay Mentally Strong When You're Dealing With a Psychopath
At the mention of the word 'psychopath', people tend to imagine the worst possible pictures of monsters ranging from rapists,
paedophiles to serial killers. Although a lot of violent and aggressive criminals are psychopaths, some successful individuals can be,
scratch that, are also psychopaths. In businesses and workplaces, they employ the use of their smooth-talking skills
to work their way up the ladder of success.
However, their manipulations rear its head at some point, and their true nature is revealed.
Spending a lot of time around a psychopath can cause serious harm to your emotional, psychological and mental health.
The good news is that you can shield yourself from the effects of the toxicity by being proactive about how you deal with them.
A research was carried out extensively on the difference between successful psychopaths and the ones who end up behind bars,
and it was discovered that the successful psychopaths have high levels of conscientiousness.
It is true that all psychopaths have the same features and show off similar traits such as being exploitative,
dishonest, callous, having little or no remorse, arrogant, callous, shifting blames to others and being shallow-minded.
Also, they lack empathy, are carefree and charming, aggressive, selfish and are experts at dealing with people.
As opposed to the successful psychopaths, typical psychopaths have low levels of conscientiousness.
This implies that they are more impulsive,
irresponsible and negligent than the successful ones. Therefore, they are more likely to get caught whenever they commit crimes.
Successful psychopaths are sleek with their modus operandi and are rarely caught, which explains why they occupy several enviable positions
rather than being behind bars.
Also, they possess some traits such as being immune to stress, which is an added advantage in business and office settings.
This enables them remain calm in the eye of the storm. They are skilled at wielding influence over others and staying fearless amid crisis.
So, despite having dark sides to their personalities, they move higher in business and get promoted in their workplaces
due to their good sides. You'll agree with me that at one point or another, you must have encountered
or been around a psychopath for sometime and this includes at business or in the workplace.
It might be your client, subordinate, boss or a colleague.
You'll also agree with me that it's so much stress dealing with them,
and it only takes a proactive approach to get them off your back. You can study the way they behave and decide to stay off their grid.
Here are steps on how to stay mentally strong when you're dealing with a psychopath

How to loose a psycopath: - Find out what they want and need, who are you to them? - Then, use that knowledge to make them not need you and not want you anymore. - Don't leave them, make them leave you. This is safer. - Don't be a threat to them in any way. This is safer for you. Remember: They are capable of ANYTHING. Don't put yourself in an unsafe position. Be smart. Take your time. You will be OK! I believe in you. Keep going. You've got this 🤗

It's sounds easier but almost impossible to do, u know I've a brother n he's a complete psychopath, he's literally a demon, I'm a 19 year old girl n he's 12 year older than me, he's been beating me ever since I was a kid, he abuses me mentally, physically, emotionally, n then he acts like it's all my fault... He always blames everyone else for his acts n mistakes... I can't even run away, he's so good at manipulating n lying.... He behaves well with outsiders but at home he's worst... He threats me n my parents, he tried to choke me last week, n yesterday also for no reasons he punched my face, my face was all blooded up... He punched me blindly, my eye is all blue, my neck n shoulder are hurting n i can't even escape... And when my dad asked him why he did so he blamed me... Honestly m getting crazy.... I can't take it anymore... Literally I've been living in fear since my childhood....

True in a way, but always Sociopaths and Psychopaths are also narcissists. NPD=means Sociopath and Antisocial Personality Disorder=means Psychopath. The words Sociopath and Psychopath are not listed in the DSM 5. Only NPD and Antisocial Personality Disorder are listed in the DSM 5, the Diagnostic Statistcal Manual= The ' bible ' for those in the field of the mental health professionals. All narcissists are dangerous.

If only psychopaths were dangerous there would be no reason to go NO CONTACT with other types of narcissists. The main differences, but only a few, are like, not having a conscience or being born with only a part of the amygdala of their brain. It's rare and it's missing (something like that, and possibly it's inherited). But most narcissists are made due to their environment in infancy to a toddlerhood level in their environment. Yes, but they can't be classified until over 18 years of age. Young children are normal being this way and GROW OUT OF IT OVER TIME. This a normal part of early childhood growth and development. If they don't, well there is a problem that needs to be checked out. Narcissists do not often willing go to a therapist, for they think that they are right in their delusional patterns of thinking. We are wrong. So you see they are ♻️ recycling their behaviors. These ideas came from the mental heath community I've been studying and also experienced throughout many years. God bless you in your search for your answers my friends.

I really wish I would have learned about pyschopathy/narcissism BEFORE encountering one. I grew exponentially under a great boss, while unbeknownst to me a co-worker felt threatened by the success I was having. That threatened co-worker became manager after the great boss moved on, and it took 5 years for me to understand that all the chaos, confusion, and obstacles he seemed to mindlessly create were because of narcissistic insecurity on his part. I never knew people were actually that manipulative... especially when they are supposed to be judging their success on the success of their team, but he went the opposite direction. It started out so oddly... like calling me on my lunch break asking me to check-in when I get back, and then wanting absolutely nothing when I returned other than for me to check-in. Or when I would hold the door open for everyone as we were all leaving a big meeting, and if he walked through after me he would stand in front of me and the door and make a big scene speaking with every single person who walked through the door. "After you, Karen! Of course, Victor! You're welcome Daphne!", but if he left a meeting before me I would never see him stop to hold the door on his own... it was like he needed to mimic my behavior. He even started dressing like me for a while. He then got cruel, by calling me in my class demanding to know where I was, even though he approved the class and I communicated with the entire team very clearly. I had been working on my degree part-time for five years under two previous bosses, while he was a co-worker, and suddenly he pretended it was incredibly disobedient of me to continue that process. I ended up dropping out from stress in 2016, and then this past summer I mentioned wanting to finish my degree and he said "YOU DON"T NEED A DEGREE". Then I learned what narcissism was, I started talking to HR, starting Grey Rocking him and distancing myself, and now he is complaining that he feels disconnected from us. Our relationship has improved because I am Grey Rocking and I know he is psychopathic, and I have forgotten that a couple times. This week he kept using word salad and used the word "Strategic" in a run-on sentence three times without actually articulating what strategies he had in mind, so I asked him "What do you have in mind?" and he immediately got visibly upset, stumbled over his words, and repeated the word salad.... so I just said "Ok" and he calmed down. I now understand why he was so upset with me all the time... Because I am just authentically trying to be helpful, anything I do to help threatens the artificial reality he has created. My success is like a mirror to his insecurities, and he can't have that. It is truly the most wild thing I have ever experienced.

The mimicking and copying of your identity and behaviors is the part that threw me off the most. Sometimes it would be subtle, sometimes very up front, taking something very specific that you do and then doing that exact thing in front of others and you. Then you have to kind of decide if you will keep doing it yourself, because you suddenly feel like a fraud for doing something someone else is doing, or your afraid of acting authentically in some other way around them that they will just then pick up and use if they find it useful. That stuff keeps me up.

Should know that a person is a sociopath if they snicker at someone's pain. If they don't honor obligations,if the play the roles of hero/ victim simultaneously.Chances are close to 100% you are dealing with a psycho/sociopath.Its so important just to be quiet and strong.Shore up all of your emotional defenses And yes, don't be afraid, and DON'T react!!!! They'll use it as "evidence" They're scared of being held accountable,so don't take it personally.Turn off and compartmentalize your emotions and thoughts and focus on being more about integrity, truth and goodness. That's their weak spots .Lock down your life and get r ii d of ANY device he or she gives you or your kids Factory reset will not help in every case. Drain battery if have to go do something important.Check and double check other devices to see they're dead too.Prepare own food, eat only stuff from sealed package. That goes for coffee, etc Never ever underestimate the psychopath. Get a bug detector and check for GPS tracker. Put spy camera in your place. And don't trust any mutual friends or kids. I wouldn't report it to HR unless you have another job lined up. The only thing that will usually happen is the psycho boss will get a talking to. Then the psycho boss knows he's getting to you and won't change either way. It will probably get worse and a sick person won't stop or change because someone talked to them about it numerous times. This is true from my experience. I started working with and HR Leadership Coach a few months ago, about having a narcissist manager, and everything is about how bad it was that I went over my manager's head, and what I should focus on to survive while planning my exit. Things have been visibly falling apart since the narcissist became manager, but the lesson is to either keep your head down and wait for them to move-on, and keep applying for other jobs. Nothing will happen to the narcissist unless their actions will bring a lawsuit against the company, and because you see their toxicity so clearly, they latch onto trying to fix the problem you have become in their scheme to protect their artificial reality. Suddenly, I look a lot more qualified for other jobs, lol.

He had me doing 6 different job roles and In the end when i said no to one of his ridiculous ocd fuelled requests he threw a chair at me. I walked but when i went back to talk he turned it on me and told me i had character flaws and should see a psychologist. this might explain the most relevant parts in detail: because of worrying about it, it's like i worry my way into being bothered and get frustrated, if not overwhelmed, by my lack of choice, learned by endurances overwhelming considerations of enablements, and (causing expressiveness of or about endured regards, unless concurring because of persistence of elaborations of enduring) exhausted by inadequacy (because of not realizing uninvolvement enough to contrast comparisons that are associated with and associatable with concurring uninvolvement about elaborations of, for and, or just or, about enduring and because of the seemed potential for enduring involvements similarly [to instead elaborate concurrable enablements for potential concurrences that aren't overwhelmed by enduring]) for gratifying change for gratifying the thrill of satisfying relief for contentment about changes made to appreciate. and people seem to love haggling endurances about it. and they'd be thrilled about being more enabled than enduring(, figurably in stark contrast.)(like, "they like having their way with little boys.") how people tend to get in my head and manipulate me/haggle endurances: they (party a) urge people (part b) to regard them when (people/party b) elaborating concerns to be contradicted by their (they/party a) concerns to unfairly endure considering them (party a) beyond not being intentive about them (party a) to overwhelm (party b) the concerns expressed for finding resolution with elaborations of ideas of bothersome endurances to feel overwhelmed about their (party a) justifiable/worrisome persistence about concerns. like in their own way they were saying "fuck off (or be overwhelmed) and endure me." (like reading intentions of and for their role's justifications contrasting [feelings effecting involvement?])(also note the whole thing about people wanting to agree with themselves - like haggling endurances instead of letting the truth be what it is and, or just or, listening and heeding other people's ideas about involvements because of the enablings and disablings of or about the effects of elaborating the involvement; like they'd be in denial [to not be reminded {of helplessly enduring inadequacy}] or they'd get angry [to exhaust the potential to change overwhelmingly or to exhaust the regards of the involvement or involvement{s} enough to change,] like it didn't rhyme with their agenda of being like or being like in comparison to being like.) obviously don't bother people by being a reminder that seems to be as persistent as though like. (i don't know about this next part)don't justify it, neither. don't practically express the bad joke of having endured dissatisfaction because ("if," though - because of the misunderstanding about the scale of criticisms [and displacing or conveying self criticisms][so, self defeatism and criticisms]) of it seeming like they'd seem like they'd tolerate it. because that's not listening as though being relateable about considerations of interests. concerns about endeavors towards interests might be relieving to be heard about if it's relatable, otherwise it's probably unfair. --- like i worry my way into being bothered for it because of worrying about it - i don't mean it but if i'm enduring a lifestyle of what i don't mean and being reminded of it then i need to change. (and it's like other people would think nothing about having their way with me and i'd be led right into it because of them elaborating a misunderstanding and me being overwhelmed to try and say otherwise.) - notice when people are open and when they have something on their minds. if they seemed open and didn't want to talk to you, don't take it personally, maybe you weren't as interested about what they'd be open to and maybe they just wanted to feel and experience for themselves. "but, hey, there's a time and a place for everything if you could agree for a while." "that's very thoughtful, then." at what point is it too much to endure than it's worth enduring for? it was hard to see because i was too bothered to relate because i figured out how to not even notice, or was just overwhelmed, for my own considerations, concerns or overwhelming hopes." - figuring videogame transitions: the NPC reaction ai has to have the transitions right (figuring routines of "worrying their way into being bothered for it because of worrying about it" and the urgefulness, based on the seemed persistence of encountering reminders about haggling endurances's expressiveness, for encouraging self enabled interpreted settle about for having changed, potentially thrillingly, which would make them seek and learn uninvolvement about similar situations enough to validate outcomes of surprises, for appreciating the difference of [{endured potential of learned hopelessness's "tricks" potential for and because of seemed persistence while enabling changes} endeavors towards] gratifying the thrill of satisfying relief for contentment about) when expressive of frustrations and shouting (figure exhaustion amidst their enabled empowerment, like they might want to gratify it) because of the seemed potential to endure exhaustion of non-fulfillment or dissatisfaction because of not enjoying the appreciateable experiences of thrilling or relieving endeavors of gratification for contentment, urging fixation for expressiveness about potential causing determined or determination of or about endeavors, unless having been thrilled about the seemed pointlessness enough to learn from the pointlessness (like they'd run faster, be determined to get through obstacles enough to be disconcerned about one'sself or they'd figure alternatives of achieving circumstances of desired situations by understanding what they want to settle for [when the only answer is "stay away."]) --------- how to invest: buy when they can't sell no more and sell when they won't buy anymore, based on the pace and persistence of persistant activity (caused by the prevalence of buying and selling activities which sways confidence for buying and also urges concerns to sell, too, because the persisting activities changes the stock's value and sways confidence for monetarily backing or supporting the trend.) advanced stuff (for daytrading more often, like a day job for about an hour or less) : use multiple increments of at least $1000 ($5000) to either have multiple chances at making and not losing money and to make all the gains of an upward trend - won't miss the gains and won't miss out. it is always a dumb idea to lose money. accept your money back if you should've or would've sold at a higher price. buying loses momentum at some point and then they sell. depending on how much they sell, the price-range could go up or down. ----- humor - inadequacy of endeavors's (elaborating [non-gratifying circumstances])(associatably "as though like's") awkwardness (of insecurity [instead of realizing uninvolvement about for noticing more and changing.]) ----- ----- "i don't think anyone has died with a smile on their faces; please read what i have to say." ----- the "too cool for school" thing is, "noone wants to talk to me'-." if you keep hearing people say the same things about or to you, you need to figure out why you seem like what you seem like or something like that in order to let yourself change. if you keep hearing people say the same things about or to you, you need to figure out why or what makes you seem like or something like that in order to let yourself change. sometimes some people just like hearing themselves and validate outcomes, though. ---- ---- the imaginary friend thing: self criticisms (which are bothersome) and encouragement for appreciation (which tends to helplessly dwell about hopelessness to a sorry[/painfully saddened about or because of reminders of inadequacies which elaborated to insecurities elaboratingly encouraging uncertainties {daddy issues/concurring settling or settleable enablement instead of enduring} reminding of inadequacies] extent [frustration because of wanting to change from unfairly enduring unless learned hopelessness.]) ----- doing things and interacting with people to "see where it goes (as far as they can stand it)" is where religion loses control of people. they play on people who don't realize that and become or became poor and vulnerable because of it. ---- people don't like reminders of helplessly enduring inadequacy. ---- because of worrying about it, i worry my way into being bothered for it instead of realizing the difference of elaborating concerns for reassuring enablement, from, elaborating considerations for reassuring settle, comparatively and in contrast, to notice, consider, concatenate and make better decisions for being less concerned because of it. ---- ---- the long strums are the feelings about (or because of finally having a say because of) having parted and the faster strums are our feebleness for (or about) moving on. ironically or not. it's all like playing the piano - more beats per note or not amidst transitioning topics of relevantly regarded concerns for considerable expressionism. "express yourself" unless you can contrast considerable comparisons concerning about amidst regarding. ----- trying to be accepted/acceptable by other people's standards is killing me. i need to accept myself. i need to be comfortable with myself. i can't blame them, but i don't have to agree with them (and they can't blame me for that.)

How do people deal with Narcissists & a psychpath who hv befriended each other ( fake friendship) & hv convinced school, professionals & their parents that they are sweet, innocent & victims. And when we contacted the correct people to notify them of the bullying, they then lied about the parents too? They are very dangerous & damaging to nice kind kids. We don't know whether to move our daughter but they are sadly everywhere?

@Georgina jones Advice is cheap, so use your discretion please. If she is Very Very unhappy and they are all lying, WHAT SHOULD A GOOD PARENT DO ? You weigh your options, by writing them down on paper and discuss it with a person wider than yourself, not always a husband either. It depends. Thanks for asking.

My ex was either a psychopath or narcissist, I can’t say for sure which. It’s scary when you think they might still be looking for you. I really hope you have friends or family for support! If you don’t, find a therapist, through your doctor you may be able to get a free one (I don’t know which country you’re in though), or find someone who can support you and it will help a lot. @thegirl555 , I was amused to see so many people trying to deal with these people , as indeed it is very difficult sometimes but do you mind that I have to contradict a few things ? You wrote " find out what they want and need , who are you to them . " Let me rephrase this : a psychopath does not always want something from you. They just love to toy with people and their emotions as they have only few to no emotions themselves and can not be bothered , secondly enjoy the " thrill" and the position of power it gives them. They only care for power , control , domination , basic needs as that is what fits with the ego and this is grandiose . "using that knowledge to make them not need you and want you anymore " is basically saying " stop existing " because a psychopath , if he or she did see something in you , maybe even just sex , they will not stop to go after it. They will get it , even if it takes years of planning and manipulating you. So basically it does NOT matter what a psychopath wants from you. They do on the other hand EXPECT from YOU to indeed read their needs as if you are a mindreader. My advice ? DO NOT DO THAT , you give them what they WANT.
