Hi Brian, I’m one of your original 42 and love the idea of chatting away in your workshop . You certainly have the gift of conversation and I could listen to you just reading the phone book lol as your lovely accent and some of your sayings are so entertaining. To be honest it’s your personality that comes across and that’s what we like about you. You just go for it Brian. 👏🏼😉🇨🇮

Puttering around the shop with commentaries sounds interesting. If you had an ongoing project to revisit from time to time might be interesting. A project like building a trick pool table, an automaton, a table mounted racecar set using foosball technology, a replica of the interior of the Millenium Falcon, your own personal Murphy's Ale distillery, guitar lessons, Dublin Accent instructions, etc.

Brian there’s a artist in Canada named Josh. Sometimes when his wife, who’s a nurse, goes to work at night he’ll need to do the dinner dishes. He brings up a live and calls it “Doing the dishes with Josh”. It’s like a bunch of friends getting together chatting. Sometimes people chat between each other in the chat. It’s fun to do.

You are an amazing instructor, Brian. You remind me of being a kid hanging out in my uncle's workshop, and how he'd talk about what he was doing and why. I learned so much from that sort of life chatty instruction, and today's younger generations need people like you, who make learning how to manage life easier just by example and personal thoughts. Your chat was full of sensible cautions and useful instructions without being pushy or overbearing. And for me, today, you are a breath of fresh air of the way people used to be and connect. Heck, even sorting your bikes or spanners is great to watch, not only to show kids how to clean up and organise, but because your warm and engaging intelligence is really nice to listen to. I know it's youtube and not really a visit, but you feel like a lovely friend I'm visiting, who does stuff around the place while I sit and listen, and feel like life is more wonderful because you are in it. Thanks.

No problema! 🙋🏻♂️👍 Brian I’ll watch you puttering about in your workshop. You always seem to be coming up with interesting ideas and things you’re trying to do. That idea of not reading the instructions and learning how to get things to work after you’ve bought them, I have to think that’s most of us. If it looks straight forward after all of your research and asking your buddies what I’ve to get, it should be simple…nope. Now you have to read the semi-complicated instructions….and it works. Looks like a practical device for winter camping if like you said you can safely keep it outside of the camper. Anyway, have a good weekend, and congratulations on helping get the electrics working at the chateau, what a great day for that achievement. Oh, and the never ending Brian the gardener week.

Neurodivergent Aunties love power tools, including tiny diesel heaters. If it was my tiny heater in my camper, I'd be looking for biodiesel, because who wouldn't want to wake to the smell of warm chips? (French Fries for North Americans). Your preference may vary, but you might consider asking if McDonald's (or any place that cooks with oil) will supply you with old cooking oil. A person would need to go through four steps to turn it into biodiesel, but I suspect that the needed things can be found at any Brico. I enjoy our chats. Sorting spanners sounds hypnotic ;)

Well, I suppose I listened to you through this workshop chat so maybe it would work. One of my quilter channels did a fireside chat live so we could all chat with each other and it was fun to talk with other makers. I'm doing it daily this month with another quilter and some of the videos are premiers and then she can join us in the chat, that's been a lot of fun. Of course we joke around a lot so I suppose it depends on your topic. Stay warm and be careful with those heaters.
