I bought one of these, I would like to know if which one is not welding if it is on slow, or is it only accelerated on high?

I was considering a Miller 280 stick welder. But then i would need some upgrades in electrical at the house to run 220v to 250v. Still looking and doing research on this welder. Never really looked into ESAB before. Now I want to know if you can run a flux core Miller welder on this. Don't know flux core yet but looking to run both of these together.

Looking at getting my first welder and came across this one. What size rods will it burn? 1/8th 7018 would be the biggest that I would be doing.

Says it can do 5/32 from what I’ve seen so far

1/8th 7018 would be no problem at all. Ruffian can burn that all day long.
