I wouldn’t call burning the tires recycling, but, being made from some percentage of natural rubber means that as a fuel they have some degree of carbon offset built right in. And the energy requirements for making cement at that scale can only be met using fossil fuel, so using tires that have already had a useful working life is actually better than burning oil or gas straight out of the ground.
@christopherleubner6633Ай бұрын
I used to work at Humane Mfg and we really recycled tired retired tires. They went through all sorts of shredding steps to remove the steel from them and pulverize to cofee ground like powder. We turned them to rubber mats and such. ❤

I enjoyed the scrap steel video before. But now you've combined the tyre recycling video together with the rebar video, it all comes together comprehensively. We are pansies in my country; we use Coconut fibres in our soft brooms. South Koreans are tough; they use spring steeel wire in their "soft" brooms. 😅 Next time I sweep my kitchen floor, Im gonna try using ARKERD shoes with stainless steel laces. Underneath the shoes it says "Tai-wan", but Im gonna be tricky and "Tie-both" laces.

@buggsy5Ай бұрын
It appeared in the video that they use the shredded tires as furnace fuel. I didn't see any clip of further processing of the steel tire wires. I would think that they would combine operations a bit more - there was a huge amount of loading, unloading and transporting of the scrap before it got to the smelter.
