If you want to do this and have it be fireproof you need to soak the doilies in porcelain clay slip, thoroughly dry and fire in a kiln. Anything flammable will burn away, leaving just the nonflammable porcelain. Don't want the faff or the expense? Use a battery operated tea light instead.

Will the result make it go white if it was on a red fabric ?
@AngieHolden4 жыл бұрын
It should dry fairly clear but might alter the color some.

I would be afraid the dollies will catch fire. As my fire chief hubby indicated , how about an battery operated tea light ??
@AngieHolden4 жыл бұрын
Definitely! Battery operated is a great way to go!

Very cute idea but also very dangerous..You should never have used a real tea light candle, you should have just put in a battery operated tea light..This can easily catch fire and you should state that in your heading incase somebody does do this and has a serious fire .

I use a battery operated candle or just watch it.

Anyone ever done this with a bowl to see if it would hold up to a bunch of apples or lemons?
@AngieHolden4 жыл бұрын
I have not. I am sure it would though.
