I so love your dads attitude, it’s like he’s not even going to entertain any messing around from them. He’s got his little bucket of cake and just tells them, doesn’t ask them but tells them to come on then leads them off to where he wants them to go! Looking forward to seeing how that cat’s-eye is at the end of the prescribed. And good to see the foot bath going that’s going to help so much on their feet. It sure does cut down the time that you have to work on their hooves, keeping them healthy. It looks like you’re getting to the point where you can be a gentleman farmer so to speak. I don’t think he will ever be happy. Just sitting there looking at the farm you’re a hands-on person. And that gives the most satisfaction of all.

So good that the foot bath is back in, just a quick thought tho if you put gates past the foot bath and at the bottom of the parlour exit you would be able to use it as corals and a place to catch cows that needed attention

Acres of great grass, good water, close pastures, nice. We have huge pastures, limited grass and water over miles and miles, we have to work them with horses and dogs. Blessings Tom

I think the camera smells like cake, love when the cattle lick it. Also great video when you add all sorts of things going on which is your normal day. Foot bath finally set up, and needed. Betting Arrowquip will replace the bolt and ask how on earth it broke. Tom you look much more relaxed, great take care one and all.

Hey Tom, would you not put a drafting before the foot bath and put the foot bath down further, after milking then any cows drafted out you just have to open a gate at the top and walk them back across the front of your Parlour and into the shed you currently put them in, if you not going to be drafting then the gates can be just left open and put flat against the wall like the first gate you have at the corner

Yes, that's how I solve forest eye in cattle , but I use the dry cow tube i find it works better with one treatment. Must be Grate to be back farming without the pressure of the building going on.

I am not a farmer but I watch the farming vids. Interesting is some farmers feed their cows excess pumpkins they have grown because it is a natural dewormer. You may want to investigate this as it might be a time and money saver. I don't know, just passing along things I've seen. Love your vids. ❤

We had forest eye on our place and we were putting that stuff in there eyes for weeks we found it easy to lift the bottom of the eye and put it in underneath it and we’re only using 1/4 of a tube per eye

The tractors we had had a priming handle over the fuel filter. So we would change the filter and then prime up the line again with diesel. I was told as a kid that running a tractor out of diesel l will score the pistons and leaves.

We use to call and sing out to the cows to get them in…. It got tiring, and you had to drive down the paddock for them to hear you. We subsequently taught them to come to the sound of the horn. So all we had to do was pull up and honk the horn a bunch of times and they all came running.

That little Hugo is absolutely adorable 😊 he's so stinkin cute and it's funny cuz my Grandson's name is Hugo and he wonders "how you knew his name?" And is thoroughly convinced that he's named after him lol Henry is such a sweet little boy it made my heart smile when he said he "didn't want to waste it!" (about the maze) and for him to be be so thoughtful at his age is just a testament for children learn what they live!! and you know what I also enjoy is going back on earlier video's and watching all the changes and improvements you've made to the farm come to life! hated that when the fuel gauge is broken or none at all. thankfully most had a very small hand pump not in a good spot but a skinny arm comes in handy

thats what we do for a bad eye as well the only thing we do differently is glue an eye patch on to keep the flies out of it I don't think Ive ever seen a cow with a bad eye after the patch fell off.
