I enjoy these pieces of "imperfect" beauty and strength of colors. I don't have a lot of support from my family who think my paintings should be more precise. I make a lot of loose landscapes and they are my favorite pieces. I've learned not to listen to others and just paint whatever gives ME joy. Thanks Lois!

I spent a day with Ron Ranson some years ago.The first thing I found out was that we were born about half a mile apart in Chesterfield. More importantly when the painting session finished he said “stick with this, you’re getting it” I’ve painted with a Hake ever since.Thank you Ron.RIP
