I am a 19-year-old boy who was very popular among girls in my school days. My family members, friends, and girls all praised me for my well-defined face, smooth brown skin, handsomeness, and personality, even though I was skinny as f. I was beautiful and confident. But 1.5 years ago, I got into kpop stuff, and since then, I've started losing confidence. I've become more insecure about my looks, and those fake beauty standards of the K-pop idols and their abusive, toxic fans have made me feel like trash. The real insecure ones are those K-pop idols and their beauty standards. Now that I've stopped getting along with K-pop things, I feel like I've become more confident and attractive. I get attention from girls like I used to in my school days. I am happy. Insecurities are like viruses; they are contagious. If you want to find the beauty inside you, first stay away from those fake people and their beauty standards. Believe in yourself. And the most important thing is that your insecurities are what make you different from others and distinguishable; be proud of that and make those insecurities your own beauty trait, style, standard, and the true you. You're not ugly; you just lack confidence.

It does define you as a person, if you’re awkward like me, everyone will see you as awkward the second they meet you. This is especially true with women because they have that sixth sense, they can instantly get a feel for who’s a real sure - of - himself man and who isn’t within seconds of meeting a man. In my personal experience, that process makes me even more awkward and anxious because I can see the exact moment they pick up on it, I can see their facial expression change, I can see their body language change from open to neutral or on the rare occasion I’m really not making them interested in me I can even see them go closed or flat out not even acknowledging I’m there. I can’t help myself and start thinking to myself going “Yep, I already fucked up, no point in trying to hold back my nerves now she already registered in her mind I’m nothing but another stranger, who’s awkward as hell and is not making me interested in him”.

This happened to me, my ex said "do you have some attachment issues" when I asked him if he is alone on this walk we went on in a forest and he was avoiding me and walking miles away but didn't talk about any issues, he pushed me away before he left. I’m convinced this is a bait question, literally. No one, and I mean no one who is a girl would want to be tall. I’m 5′9 and that is the low end of the tall spectrum and I’ve hated it with a passion from when I was young. Constant questions and comments of “do you play *insert sport,*” “wow you’re so huge/big/tall,” “I didn’t expect you to be that tall,” “you’re shoulders are kinda broad,” “you’re lanky,” etc. I fucking hate it. I don’t feel like I’ll ever be cute, dainty, and small. I desperately wish I could be easily picked up and feel small when hugged. I am looked at like a weirdo if I wear lolita (alternative fashion), or if I dress more goth (which I am) I’m looked at like a freak or scary. I only can comfortably wear baggy sweatshirts or sweaters, if I even feel like going outside. Yes, I have been asked to model, but that’s just because the clothes sit right on my body type and my legs. Outside the industry, those standards fade right away. They’re disappearing now because shorter models are desired, and we’ll have nothing that will make us feel slightly better about ourselves. No, you wouldn’t want to be taller, it’s ostracizing and everyone thinks they can say whatever you want to you about it, you can’t express yourself without looking weird like someone average or shorter can. The constant little jabs and rude comments add up and weigh on you every day. Just accept that your height will always be the most desired in society, everywhere.

I want to be adorable. I want to be the little spoon cuddling. I want to look up at people and hide my double chin and batt my eyelashes all cute.
