I love your videos. I don’t even have a horse, but I love the art of riding. And even though I am old (72), i still dream of being able to ride a horse well. So I watch your videos and imagine myself riding. It is a fun way to occupy my thoughts, and I will be doing the exercises because I do have back deformities and pain. These are great exercises.

I have not ridden in 15 years, I just purchased two 14.3 Tennessee Walkers, these are my first gaited horses, they will be arriving in about 2 weeks. I have been watching allot of different horsemanship videos and I tell you now that you're presentations are absolutely the best! Your voice is so pleasant to listen to, and I instantly understand what you are saying. You and your horses are a breath of fresh air! I have learned more in the last few weeks, watching and learning from you that I do not feel the need to look for any other trainers and I mean this sincerely. I am the webmaster of Cowboy Dressage, and Cowboy Dressage World, never competed before but because of you, this is now going to be possible. Your videos have given me the confidence, especially "Building Confidence" even your compassion in that video was amazing. I look forward to spend allot of time with you and thank you SOOO Much! PS, the little additions you add in, like stepping off your horse and into your living room, and Legend bouncing the ball to you and you catching it in your living room is brilliant! Love you from Texas!!

I have a horse that has a strong diagonal right hind and left shoulder and he puts me over to the right side. And I have a strong right side ( all my injuries is in the left side) which makes us a very asymmetrical couple 😊

This is so helpful! I love your videos they help so much. I have a video suggestion. I am having a hard time getting up the courage to lope and canter on my horse, and I think it would be sooooo helpful if you did a video on how to feel confident enough to lope, and also how to sit it. Thank you so much!

I just recently started riding again for the first time in 8 years and I couldn't figure out why my shoulders were twisting to one side when I sit my trot!! It kind of looked like I was dropping my right shoulder (I am very left dominant). This makes so much sense!

Hey!! I have a few questions. I'm not a new rider, but I took a 2 year break since I last rode. I've been working mostly at trot recently. I haven't started cantering quite yet. The horse I usually ride for lessons is pretty lazy, and doesn't like to keep trotting, especially around corners. I have issues squeezing/kicking him to keep him going while posting the trot. Any advice? Also, he likes to trot rather slowly most of the time. Is there a way I can get him to trot a bit faster, but not canter? I'll probably be starting canter soon though. I love your videos, and you're a fantastic rider.

I have difficulty to keep my balance while doing a canter on a big horse. I am still very young. Does my size and the horses size matter for me to ride better? Please do let know!

It doesnt really matter depending on the horses size it matters on the balance that you have and your cantering level, and the horses level(green-school)

My main issue is that im new to riding so I ride lesson horses with a trainer, so I can’t just do what I want meaning I can’t necessarily practice things I need to practice :(

Hi😊 Congratulations on getting your new horse! I usually start off slow when working with a new horse. I like to spend the first week or two doing ground work and just letting them settle into the new environment. A gentle bit that I often start with is a loose ring or eggbutt French link snaffle. What bit you use depends on the horse you’re working with and your riding goals. A bit is as gentle or severe as the rider handling it. Having soft hands and a good seat is important when it comes to preventing discomfort during riding. If you are not sure what bit would be the best for your horse you can have a professional come out to look at your horse to help find the best fit.

Sure go for it! Most barns I believe are open, at least here in the USA. I’m in the state of Ohio and riding lessons are being given daily at the barn. The staff wears masks and practice safe distancing.
