I feel like there was originally a good heart behind creating video games. It was meant to make people socialize and play together to grow relationships, relax, and take a break from the stress of life. But the downside is how many companies nowadays understand the addictive behavior in gaming that can prophet themselves, no matter how many people it destroys in the process.

I'm was playing GTA 5 when I saw this video at 12:16AM. I broke one addiction now my next one is video games. My parents will probably be mad at me for one thing and that's wanting to walk to work. I want to do this because walking makes me feel better and is another way to escape your problems just like gaming.

I'm kinda old (relative to you), yet still playing many, especially scenario/strategy based games. In the last 25 years I've finished many series like Fallout, Bioschock, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Commandos, Age of Empires, Diablo and many more... I think what's important is not to waste too much time with repetitive games (Fifa, Nba2k, Mortal Kombat, Fortnite etc)... Of course you can play those too, but try to limit the hours.

i dont think the type of game whether its repititive or non repititive matters all that matters is that u dont spend much time on it cus a non repititive game might rake hours upon hours to finish. i play fortnite and even if its repititive i dont spend much time per week on it and i also play a non repititive game and i feel like the non repititive game is even more addicting (even tho i perfer fortnite to it)because i wanna finish it asap which makes me spend much time than i spend on fortnite. Although this is just my thought and can be subject to correction:)

Video games addiction is like any other addiction, too much sugar is bad, too much workout is bad, too much food is bad as well as too much fasting. We need to know that we need just a little of everything. But everyone has a different situation, if you have any addiction, it’s better to stay away from that. Excellent video.

If you find games really fun then thats because you’re high in dopamine, ill explain. when you play games you have 1 goal in mind which is winning, why? Because it releases alot of dopamine thats why it feels good and you wanna seek it, studying or doing something productive however doesn’t release as much because you never won any so theres nothing to *seek* for, so my suggestion is instead of seeking ingame wins just imagine the dopamine releases after you start working on yourself best part is its permanent, if you cant do that you might lacks “ *motivation* “ motivate yourself I know its hard but I believe you can do it

Just don't play multiplayer games, simple This advice is good if youre a full blown addict but useless advice to someone who is already in control of their time and wants a little video game fun here and there You beat the game, it's over. No more level ups, no more grind If you schedule your time properly you can easily learn a language, learn multiple skills, work on a business , get fit And still have time for a single player game. U just need time management and to avoid the games that draw you back in

I think there are some apps/ websites that teach coding in small steps and more in a playful way. It helps me a lot when I can learn something actively (learning by doing). Also, ask yourself why you want to learn it. Maybe have a goal like coding your own small game or other program. If you don't have a reason to learn it, it will be hard to stick to it.

i would like to add on some point why games are addictive is because games like multiplayer platform such as Fortnite or Dead by Daylight are design to have a reward system, and every month and sometime every week for some games has sometime new. The more you play the more cosmetic or characters rewards you can unlocked. Once you got hooked with their system, you will come back for more and the cycle continues.

I can basically do anything else, other than gaming, 3 hours is just too enough a day, maybe even alot on weekdays. 7 to 5 hours is enough to read books, workout more, study more, do literally anything. literally. anything, and I get all the benefits at once.

I uninstall that game... and Install again🥺 like I can realise what the game matchmaking doing... but still so addicted that I am still wasting time on that, And also feeling depression because of that failed push 🥺😥

If you are seriously addicted: Look for professional help. For everything else: Like you said, it really depends on how busy one is at that moment and what goals one has. I enjoy playing video games a lot and play multiple hours each day but I also have a lot of free time right now so it is ok for me to play. Next week however, I have to get back to study for 2 exams next month so I can't play all day long. I don't think it is as easy as to say "play only 1/2/3 hours a day, everything else is way too much" because it depends on individual goals, how busy one is currently, etc. If one can manage everthing they need and want to do and is still able to play 5 hours a day, go for it.

Believe hikikimori in relation to gaming is what your talking about... making a living from video games take real talent and luck, not everyone can do it, also this video is not about making video game your job, it's for people who wants to quit and stop their game addiction, if you think gaming as a job is a good thing then that's fine, but not everyone wants to be a game addict or professional gamer, some people just wants to cure their addiction to get back to their life, and this video is for them.

Video games are great. It is a problem when you know it is a problem. Saying video games is bad / addiction is like saying sports is bad / addiction. Also if you want to work in E-sports, playing is part of achieving that goal (so you are dissing all esports players). And E-sports players are some of the smartest people in the world! Competitive games / mmos with the right attitude makes you really smart, from my experience. I honestly think more people should play games to learn certain verticals of intellect (unless they are doing it wrong / unhealthily).
@AhmetKaan
@AhmetKaan 2 жыл бұрын
Interesting arguments, but I think you are skipping the point that there may be billions of people who play video games but maybe 10.000 pro e sports players who have a full time career. So that means the chances of someone becoming a pro e sports player is INCREDIBLY slim :)

@@AhmetKaan That is the same with sports too. Or social media influencer/star. Etc... Also everything that is new can be though of as an addiction by some people. Even books can be an 'addiction', or often perceived as one when it first came out. Understanding the benefits of new technology is something you can understand when you look into it very deeply. I have studies games, and it is like any technology. It has significant pros, and can be used wrong if you should be doing something else. If you are playing easy games, then you maybe be learning fewer things. Games bring the accessibility of learning a tremendous amount of things, at a cheap and easy cost. Check out #gamification too. One needs to understand to learn to balance, just with anything in life. I used to play games a lot, and learnt so many thing that are helping me in business now. For me right now I don't spend almost any time in games much, since I have learnt enough. I'm trying to keep growing my business now. Pursuing entrepreneurship in the real world, is like the ultimate game for me 😃

Idk but you should give your channel a little turn and apart from personal development/self development you should be more concern about the things going today. I mean the way you speak and pronounce the words are far better than the normal people speak. Teach something about accent in your channel. That will bring more subscribers as well as people will also learn something new that will be helpful to them.
