Who practices their wedge game? It's key for scoring!

Hey Giles, got into golf few years ago. I practiced a lot and got to a point where my swing was incredible. Then it began to fall apart and I couldnt salvage it. Who would you recommend getting instruction from. Was watching your content last night and seen a few of your swings. I feel my swing was similar but now I’m all fucked yo

Wedge practice is my “go to event” before any other area of my practice sessions. Every aspect of your video mirrors a lot of my wedge game. The one aspect of wedge play which improved my consistence of good contact is keeping my lead arm connect to my body throughout my swing! ⛳️

Amazing! I'm glad that this resonates with yourself and your game

Always great, GG. I have done this with my wedges recently with a right wrist bend and have better contact. I will try the left wrist bow- holdoff. Thank u

Hi Giles, nice video. Thank you. If you haven’t already could you please do a video explaining the difference in bounce factor for each wedge and the pros and cons for 50/52, 54/56 and 58/60. What would you recommend and why. Cheers, Marcus.

More bounce if you dig and take big digits, less bounce if you don’t

Great instruction. Recently started using my wedges more to get better in the short game. Hope your drill is going to help hitting more consistently. Maybe you could tell us more about the lie? Could this also be the reason some shots are thin or fat?

Great video. Thank you. Would really like to know how to hit the Wesley Bryan greenside spinner. He seems to hit a cut spinner from the fringe out and I would really like to know how to maximize spin. Additionally, ball types for this shot. Prov1x, chrome tour x, etc. thank you again!

You’ve got to have some serious skill & most amateurs simply don’t have the hands to be able to play it

I struggle to hit full wedge shots that don't sit in the clouds. So half and 3/4 shots are the thing for me because they go low and drop and stop. Thansk Giles.

So this routine is for a full wedge shot or pitch I'm assuming, but does the same apply for chipping?

This is pretty much exactly what my own instructor has given me. Makes sense and it works, BUT - I still get freaked with those super tight fairway lies on soft ground where even some club bounce doesn't give you much forgiveness.
@Gilesgillgolf4 ай бұрын
I think all golfers do! In those you actually need to try to play them where you get a bit steeper so the leading edge can get under the ball
