I've just done 3 sets of 10 and now my jaw and tongue feels sore. It's exactly like going to gym and working out a muscle that I have been neglecting for weeks. It's a good feeling. Thank you sir.

I have asthma and a deviated septum. Breathing as an asthmatic already sucks, but that coupled with the fact that my nose is constantly plugged AND not having a fully opened airway in my nostrils makes it really hard to not only breathe, but to talk without having to catch my breath every 2 seconds.

I used to mumble when I was a kid (about 4-6 years old ) I wonder if it was because I spoke multiple langues my family were immigrants so English was a second language
@pmz2 жыл бұрын
@Ngalula Dodier - absolutely. It might have been you repeating the speech patterns you were hearing or a lack of confidence in speaking English. It’s always interesting to figure out what prompts us to speak the way we do.

I've also heard that the tongue is supposed to be relaxed. Could you speak on that a little bit? How are we to understand the tongue working yet being relaxed?
@pmz3 жыл бұрын
Hi @chrisctlr - it’s an energized relaxation. One way to achieve this is to exercise the tongue - more on that later in this series. In a way, overwork it. Really use those muscles to pronounce words. Then, let it all go and focus instead on the breath. Notice how much more fluidly and efficiently your tongue maneuvers. Give this a try and let us know how it goes!
