I’ve been skateboarding and longboarding 25 years and pre ordered a brake kit from VibeRide. I will put in on a Land Yachtz, Battle Axe. It’s a duster style deck with drop through trucks etc. I’m looking forward to riding a lot of hills I couldn’t ride before because they were too dangerous in some way. They have dangerous Intersections or no run out for example. This is going to be a whole new experience. We’ve been waiting for this and finally someone did it right! Safety features like brakes on a skateboard? About time. Thanks VibeRide. Two thumbs up! 👍👍 I curious to figure out if other wheels can fit on there like 97mm electric skateboard wheels. I heard they’re going to have adapters for hollow core wheels but I think they will already fit the drive wheels with the ring of 1/4” holes for an interface with a drive motor. Which would be ideal for my application. I like running the big wheels because my town has very rough roads but I can’t wait for these to get here.

As an older person, new to longboarding, I have just ordered one of these. I have an electric board but I like being human powered and have hated tying to learn to foot brake. I cannot wait to try it out. :) Happy, safe, skating and thank you for posting. :)

I need to buy new shoes every 6 months, because of the holes I make from braking. This is quit interesting. I might buy one, on the other hand, I've been doing it with my shoes for 25 years now. It surely took some time until someone though about it. Respect to Viberide for figuring it out

Yes! I always had to use an old pair of vans I would have to wear for Longboarding cause new ones would get ruined quickly

Vibe ride, nice Takes a minute to adjust foot placement. Going at a speed can make it more difficult to reach back for the break from a standard foot placement so always keeping your back foot there for your heel to just drop down is best. Personally tightened my brake to the max in Hope's that it would prevent the rattling of the pedal but it's alright for just feathering the break for gradual small stops nice board overall. Just hope they make the tools and parts avaialbel on the site soon

You’ll love it! Was able to go down new areas I would normally have to foot brake a lot to go down certain hills. It’s been game changer for sure :)
