How to stop political texts

Absolutely NONE of what you suggested will stop the texts. I can spend all day every day reporting the numbers to AT&T or I can just delete the texts. Texting back stop doesn't do it. The reason is because they're texting from an endless supply of phone numbers. You're only telling them to stop texting from that number. The loophole is that they can keep texting from other numbers. I absolutely NEVER have opted in to receive text messages.

Blocking numbers kinda work in a way but the group who sends the text/calls change to a different number to text/call from. so it is a never ending battle and you will have to continue blocking every time.

Yup! Appreciate the effort but politicians and political parties have absolutely NO incentive to ENFORCE THE LAW and - like the illegals and digitizing dollars outta thin air - they will keep doing this until THEY feel the heat (ie $$$) as consequence of their BREAKING their own ‘laws’ along with carriers who are - equally - incentivized to facilitate SPAM

Forget it. Congress allowed political adds and contact when they passed the opt out and do not call bills.. As Reagan said “We’re from the Government here to help”.

It's trivial for a spammer/scammer to mask the real source number. I've actually gotten incoming calls and SMS messages from my own phone number.

I accidentally OK'd solicitations, and now I get 10~20 texts a day. I always respond "STOP" but the messages just come from another number. I've said "STOP" to well over 1000 senders, but they keep on coming, always from new numbers. I don't know if there's a way to stop these for good, but I'll tell you I'll NEVER contribute to another political campaign!

none of these options make them go away- Ive done them all- they just use a new # and start sending again. Also I have unknown senders/filter on and they come in just like someone on my contact list....nothing works- its so frustrating.

We need the ability to block blocks of numbers because all they do is text from a different number. I get text messages for family members, even the ones who live outside the country. They just see the last name and then blindly text away.

None of that will work. I’ve done this every day for two weeks and I delete on average 20 different text threads a day

I like Kim but this advice doesnt seem to work at all cause they will use a diff number every time! 😂 I dont think I have received the same number after blocking them

I've only gotten one text and that was from a democrat. I do not give out my phone number. Now emails are a serious problem, 24/7/365.

Nothing, nothing in the video you recommend we watch will stop political messages. Kim has some good stuff, but this video is total B.S. Kim, stay away from stuff you have no idea what you are talking about!

I have an Android but the step to set up the spam blocker calls for me to tap on my profile icon. I have no idea what you're talking about. I have no profile icon?! What now?
