@@rugrat1235 Same here. I’ve had my number since 2002. Reporting as spam does nothing. Blocking does nothing. Texting “stop” does nothing. I’ve sent Ted Cruz a cease and desist letter. No effect. The issue is political campaign messages have special protection. They can legally harass you non-stop.

In addition to that, if you check the box for text messages, it will never end NEVER! You will get text messages from everyone and their mother for political donations. GOOD LUCK.

I didn't check that box but that hasn't stopped win red from sending me 20, 30 text messages a day. I will NEVER donate through them again - EVER!

WinRed did the same thing to me. If I donated one time, they would charge my card several other times without my authorization. They call those unauthorized charges (fraud charges) ‘mistaken charges.’ This happened each and every time I responded to a political text. They had my credit card on file with the first donation and fraudulently charged just as this older gentleman. I wonder how many others have unauthorized charges. The Attorney General needs to investigate this organization.

It's a "recurring donation" & the same thing happened to me. I thought I got that stopped, but was notified of a pending charge today. I've also been inundated with text messages daily. Replying stop & blocking the number does no good. I put a stop on any charges from them being honored & even getting new debit card number. It's been driving me up the damn wall.

I bought a Trump rally ticket in Oct. 2024, then was besieged with texts asking for donations. I'm just a disabled veteran on a monthly pension, but I gave $10 -- or so I thought. They charged my card again a week later and again a week later before I caught it. If I'd given $100 or more I probably wouldn't have been able to make rent or car pymt. This is a very serious crime to be committing against the elderly and disabled, and it needs to stop.

No, this video is accurate and it happened to me. Over and over again. I responded to texts for surveys or signing my support for something political. When I realized all of the charges I contacted winred and reported all of those fraudulent charges, the credited back my card. Now I delete any political text without opening the link.
