Remembering when I bought a $40 adansonii on Etsy and it died of root rot in a month. Found one for $7 at Walmart and it’s growing so well months later! My favorite plant! Love your channel and love you, I’ve learned so much.

I discovered my adansonii was yellowing, every winter too. I thought I was over-watering, so gave it a good porous soil. But it yellowed over winter again. The leaves would gradually fall off, but the naked stems seemed healthy. In it's third year now, my adonsonaii is starting to wake up again with Spring. I have the same problem with my philodendrons over winter too. It's good to have my suspicions confirmed by a trusted source though. So thanks for making this video. It was very helpful.

This is what's happening with my plant but I have no window that can give it good light indoors so any suggestions what should I do

@@duckland10 Mirrors. Put one near the window you do have, and it will reflect more light back into the room. The bigger the mirror the better. Just make sure it's not getting direct sunlight, that might reflect radiant heat onto anything flammable inside the room. White walls inside the house, also reflects more light. If that's still not enough, use artificial light.

I used to pronounce as monstera adan-so-nee-i 😂😂 my history with this plant is i received a free one leaf cutting from the nursery that i used to go, and now she has a lot of leaf and grow happy ❤️

That's the correct pronunciation. The way this woman says it would be ai at the end not ii.

I loved this video and your tips. Where did you get your test tube prolongation station? Thank you

Thanks for the video. I made the mistake of putting mine in direct sunlight, south facing windows. The plant got too much sun and the leaves went a mottled yellow. I moved the plant and all new leaves since then are perfect. I had to cut off 3 damaged leaves 😔😭

I pronounce it a-dan-so-knee-eye. I think that’s how I hear it pronounced most of the time.
