OH EM GEE!!! This actually worked with the autistic children at school who will do anything for attention the bigger the reaction from adults the more fun for them. As a result of this video I give very little attention to the big messes they make and redirect them with the behavior I want them to exhibit. Instead of "don't do that!!", I say "thank you for (doing the desired -picking up the toys) behavior", or "please help me pick up " in the nicest calmest tone of voice and guess what they picked everything right up. It worked today and it blew my mind. The opposite of the norm works for them. Treat the big problem as no big deal, it takes all the fun out of creating a big problem.

Hi Ming. My 26 month old boy generally plays with toys. He starts to throw once he gets bored with it or sometimes just like that. What can i do to prevent it? Should i remove the alphabets and stacking cups once he is bored of playing and starts to throw? He generally tends to scream after that if i remove it. Please suggest

is there anything else you can give him to throw? like a ball, bean bag or whatever?

My girl is 2.5yo with Gdd and hypotonia... She throws everything in front of her... And when she gets up and cruising around the furniture (she's not yet walking independently) she throws everything she can find on the table, shelf etc on the floor. How should I handle this situation?

The key is to stop her before she does it. A behaviour will repeat itself if it was successful. I suggest that you clear all surfaces she can reach by herself first. Prevention is the first thing you can do. Please also join our free FB group: facebook.com/groups/speechdelaysupport if you wish to update us

My son is purposefully throwing shit at me and normally I correct it but when he’s throwing rocks, remotes , I tend to lose my patience quickly and then deep spanking him, and I really would love to prevent that and have a better resource because hehasn’t stopped he is 2 1/2
