My puppy walks prefectly to heel when I'm on or pushing my bike. But with the same equipment just walking, she pulls. I'll give this a try.

That's actually super logical. What happens is that when we go faster we are matching the dogs natural pace. For example a dog walks on average 6 km/h and a person 4 km/h so we generally walk 'too slow' for dogs. One of the things I say a LOT to clients is to walk a bit faster to make it easier for the dog whilst learning. Hope this helps for you!
