Are you staying outside or inside Manipur, Bahenji? I'm just curious because in Delhi or mainland India, when I prepare fermented food items like ngari or hawaijaar beans, I used to get lots of complaints from neighbors because of the smell. 😆

Can you perhaps show us how to make ngari itself? The whole proces from fresh fish to the fermented ngari? It's not available in my country.

It is a Puntius fish known as phabou nga in Manipur and no worry about the salt, it'll be not as salty as you see in the video. The taste will be perfectly fine. Always wash it with water before normal steam cook or we can roast it directly into the fire 🔥.
