I have 2 observations to make if I may. 1. Flat beans always always has worms irrespective of how pristine good they seem. One must slit it open / apart and only then cut it the way one wants. 2. Ridge gourd has to be tasted before cooking as some turn out bitter. If cut into whatever the size, it needs to be tasted before mixing different pieces least one has to taste every chunk before further cutting on the day of use. Thanks. Bye

Hey! Excellent way to keep vegetables fresh for busy schedule. And for ginger, it's okay even if you don't keep it in the fridge. After washing and drying them in the sun, it stays fresh and strong for a long time.
Tried method for storing lemon.... simply wrap each lemon in newspaper(paper cut wrap a a lemon) and put them in the plastic bag and then in the crisper. Guaranteed to remain fresh up to one month.

You can soak the garlic for a few hours in water, strain and the peel just comes out easily. Then store. For ginger garlic freeze in ice cube trays or in thali like plates and cube. The use cubes as you need. You can freeze green chillies. For coriander , wash and pat very dry. Chop small along with the stems and freeze in a small box. Remove the minute you need . If you keep it out for more than a minute they turn black. You can also freeze curry leaves and remove the very minute you need.

These are just some ways you can reduce food waste. A lot of vegetables get rotten everyday in millions of homes, just because we don’t know the correct way to store it. Also, a lot of people don’t have the time to be in the kitchen and memorize what’s in the fridge and what not, neither do they have the time to go vegetable shopping everyday. If you think, it doesn’t work for you, that’s fine. You can buy fresh vegetables everyday. My parents and my in-laws buy vegetables everyday and cook accordingly, they don’t have planned meals. I can relate to that too. However, not everyone has the time and energy to do that. Anyway, thanks for watching.
