As a musician, I've had some very specific videos ideas that have not been possible. None of them are possible with my budget. For me, a person who's always written stories and drawn and painted, as well as make music, bringing these ideas to life has always been well beyond my grasp, and certainly well beyond my budget. I'm not interested in using Sora to market my music. I'm interested in using it to complete projects that have always been a combination of story, art, and music. So for me there's the potential of finishing a vision (I hate to use the word "vision" but can't really think of another word that sums up an overall audio / visual concept). I was never going to be able to afford to hire actors and camera operators and editors. So whether some people like the idea that I'll be able to do this or not because of their innate hatred of all things A.I., as a creative person I'm intrigued by the possibilities. I find myself wondering what someone like a young Quentin Tarantino or Terry Gilliam or Guillermo del Toro would have done with this kind of technology if they were just starting out. We can hate on this technology all we want, but we can't pretend it's not going to be an astonishing playground for a whole generation of creatives.

yo, I generated like 2 ok-ish videos, but I couldn't get it to generate anything good off the image input. It generated nothing but garbage and now I'm out of credits. lol crazy you need credits in the first place on a PAID subscription plan... but you know more money for you right?

I keep hearing folks say stuff like this even as they use the A.I. powered photo and video manipulation apps on their cell phones. If it's well done no one will notice it's A.I. And if people decide to boycott, that's a personal choice. But some folks boycotted automobiles, and we all know how that worked out. This isn't just going to go away because some people don't like that it exists. Saying that will be so is as silly as saying 30-40 years ago that no one would want to watch CGI heavy movies. We can all grumble (I worry where some of this stuff is heading even as I'm fascinated about it), but the wheel keeps turning.
