How to Stream Video online with an Encoder

Hi, i am beginner in streaming, sorry for stupid question but how you can add layers ( for example scoreboard) when you are streaming with an hardware encoder?

I have an older Panasonic 3ccd digital professional cammera with firewire , svideo and composite jacks along with 2 XLR mic inputs do they make an encoder for these that has simcards for live streaming outside ?. the only system i can think of is the expensive system by tvu networks.

I haven't tried one but this encoder/streamer will input composite video www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/963061-REG/cerevo_cdp_ls02a_high_definition_live_video.html/ No sim card, but I think you can use a cellphone's internet connection to stream.

The whole point in this livestreaming box is to be wireless, kinda defeats the purpose if you need a power socket and ethernet cable

Hi Sir, what if i want to stream with 2 or more cameras with an encoder, and will like to get a preview of them so i could switch between different camera shots.

get a switcher and send it's output to the encoder, or use a software on your pc as a multicam system like obs and send it's output to the encoder

The Teradek Vidiu can be battery powered, The regular version lasts about an hour the pro version lasts about 2 hours. I try to always run on power, but have had to use battery a couple of times (someone unplugged the device and I didn't know it) or we forgot the power cable.

Why use an encoder when you need to plug it in for electricity and internet? Would be hard to use for live sports events for example.

We use the Teradek encoder for live sports (high school) when we use 1 camera, but the camera is near an ethernet port and power outlets. It can be used with battery and wifi, but wifi has more quality issues than going over wifi especially when the area is crowded. When we use multiple cameras we use Wirecast to switch the camera inputs and encode the video.
