Panasonic HC-X1500/2000 Streaming Set-up
1. Set Video Rec Format
(Menu-System-Rec Format-1080p-29.97p/422LongGOP 50)
2. Set-up wifi connection
(Network - Device Sel - WLAN
Network Func - Streaming
WLAN Property - Infra (Select)
WLAN Property - SSID - Choose Network
Encrypt Key (WIFI password) - manually input wifi password)
3. Make sure you are connected to WIFI and go to:
Network - WLAN IPv4 Setting - DHCP - Client (IP Address will be allocated now)
4. Set-up streaming - Stream Quality
Network - Streaming - Streaming Format (choose stream quality)
5. Set-up Stream start trigger
Network-Streaming-Camera
6. Set-up receiver URL
Network-Streaming-Receiver URL (stream URL)
add "/" and unique stream key
7. Set-up stream trigger
Camera - User SW - Select User Button (User 5 (on top pf the camera) - Streaming Start

Thanks for doing this demo. Very interesting. Do you think this would work well streaming over the lan to OBS or vMix to work as a "wireless" camera in a multicam setup? Maybe at a small conference where cables are an issue and you're only using HDMI (not SDI) in a low-cost ATEM mini setup? I'm considering buying this camera to add to my toolkit.

Thank you so much for that. I film American Football here in Australia and want to live stream as well as record to make weekly highlights videos. I have streamed with a capture card via OBS but this will allow me to at least bring the games to people who can't get there. Only downfall, i can't run graphics or adverts but oh well.

Just taken the HC-X1500 out of the box and checked out your channel, great knowledge! If i have a number of performances 'scheduled' to stream on KZbin i imaging I have to enter the key for each stream although it will go to the same channel?

it wouldn't work with OBS - it needs rtmp platform like Facebook, Twitch or KZbin to connect to

Thank you for the tutorial. My steam was up in no time. But what do I do next? Once I got the stream going, what do I tell my audience where to watch the stream? I try right click on the stream which gives me a URL for that video. Do I have to tell the world that URL? That works exact the URL changes with each each stream and so that couldn't possibly be the answer. So, what do I do?

Of course there is. Connect the hdmi cable to the connection on the back of the camera to a capture device like cam link and connect to laptop through OBS or similar.

@@PavSZ well I just honestly kept going through the process making sure I had everything working and typed in right and I kept hitting the user 5 button and it would stop after like a second or so I went through the process of starting all over again type everything right really it’s not like a right way to do it when I hit the user 5 button it would stop so I just kept trying so then one day it just started working it’s really nothing different that I did other thank kept trying the process over and over I made sure that I had the right memory cards in the slots but that’s about it man honestly like I said it’s really not like a right way to do I would recommend people just keep doing the process over and over until it works that’s what I did and it just started working 🤷‍♂️lol so that’s just what I did hopefully it works for others man cause it can be very frustrating at times hopes this helps God bless

@@PavSZ I have accidently picked a higher Rec. format from system menu ( higher than 1080-29.97p). Because of this, device automatically disables the streaming option. Took a while to figure this out. Thanks for the reply Pav.

I use windows 10. This camera records in mp4 and Mov. Would it be better quality for me to record in MOV, then convert to mp4 later? Do you lose quality in doing so, compared to just recording in mp4?

mp4 is a compressed format - something is taken out of it in order for the files to be smaller. Camera is going to deliver best results as it was optimised for it - converting .mov files to mp4 by yourself could result in huge files with no difference in quality or files too small and significantly lower quality. It would all depend on your knowledge of converting, compressions, codecs etc.

MOV is container. MP4 is also. MOV is normally more edit friendly for computer video non-linear editors. The compression used by the camera depends upon selected recording settings in the System menu. I prefer to convert to mp4 later, from computer and render a certain quality for specific needs.

So I am limited to the battery, maybe 2 hours and my stream is finished...even if I have 2 battery this doesnt help because I have to stop stream and replace battery. The only way I can buy this camcorder is to charge by power bank during streaming, but I dont know if this is possible? Could you please check for me ? Otherwise there is no point to buy this camcorder for live streaming, better is buy smartphone.

Good video. I want to purchase this camera for streaming but it's important to me to be able to record to the SD card at the same time for backup purposes. Is this possible? we did say in this video that you can record to SD card as well as stream at the same time. If the camera is set to any 4k video format, the settings for streaming are greyed out. So you can only record HD to card when streaming

Thanks for doing this guys but I had to EQ the hell out of your audio to get it sounding not like WWIII. You really need to place a Low Cut Filter and ideally use lavalier mics to remove the room noise. Listen to the video gain with a full range sound system, or put a spectrum analyser on it, and you'll hear/see how poor the sound it. It sounds like you are using a desk stand mic and all your body/limb movements are being propagated through the table. Oh wait, there is it, yes, you have just placed the mic on the table. Ha, that's the problem... C'mon guys, you can do better than that ;-)

I love that you wasted so much of your time to have this little rant. The mic on the table was to record reference audio to one of the cameras and we both had lavalier mics on but there was a technical issue with the receiver and the audio didn't record well. I had to use the audio from the mic on the table to save it. Thanks for your time to point it out
