You're very welcome! I often see pianists with very long fingers doing tutorials, and I'm like - yeah, that doesn't really apply to me. 😁

This is great Marina! I have small hands too and doing octaves is hard so I will definitely use this exercise. Thank you. ❤️

Thank you for this great exercise, Marina - I appreciate your demonstration of how to gradually develop a greater reach while staying flexible and relaxed , as I don’t have a big stretch - and also showing yet another way the Circle of Fifths is helpful in piano learning and practice. I will add this exercise to my warmup routine!🌹🌹🌹

This exercise looks fantastic, especially the way you explained it. I wish you had provided more explanation of the music theory while going through the circle of fifths. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise on such a complex topic.

Thanks so much! I do go into more explanations about the circle of fifths in other videos, which you can click on in the suggested videos at the end. Didn't want to bore people with the same explanations in every video. 😊

Thanks, Marina! I noticed a long time ago that you have great reach for someone with hands not that much bigger than mine. I would try using the fingering you use in your videos, but I couldn't do it. Yikes, how does she do it?!? Now I know how you got there!

Yes, Elaine! It's definitely a process, and there are lots of exercises to do and pieces to study that contribute to being able to reach far beyond what might seem possible. You may also want to watch my video about playing big chords with small hands.
