2 sets of extra light guitar strings
1 string winder

You can alternatively use extra light gauge 12 string guitar strings. The G string will be both the Low G and High G, the C strings will be the 2 unison B Strings, for the E string the traditional set up uses the Octave Low E string and the High E, the modern set up uses 2 unison High E strings.

0:27 You're going to need a G String & a High E String (or 12 String Guitar High G String) for the G Strings, you'll need 2 B Strings & those are going to be tuned up a half step so you can get the Unison Middle C (C4), & also a D String (or 12 String Guitar Octave Low E String) & another High E String.

The Bridge pins for each pair of strings are close together like on a 12 String.

We could instead use D'addario EJ41s & they are Phosphor Bronze Wound Extra Light Gauge 12 String Acoustic Guitar Strings & here are the gauges that you could & should someday use on the Martin LXM Tres which is meant for the Octave E String setup. G String: .008 & .021 (High G String & Regular G String) C String: .013 * 2 (2 B Strings tuned up a half step to Unison Middle C) E String: .026 & .009 (Octave Low E String & High E String)

It's a Marrin LXM Tres. You can use the top 3 pairs of strings from a set of extra light gauge 12 string acoustic guitar strings.

EfficientMusician When stringing up your Martin LXM Tres de-tuning all the strings down is easiest w/ the string winder. If you drop the C String down a half step the tuning is GBE like a Guitar making it very Guitarist friendly. Drop the GBE Tuning down a half step & now you can play down a half step in case you can't sing high enough & then you can play Into the Unknown.
