Sodium percarbonate works amazing 1 cup to a gallon of water I use a scrub brush and it works so good just light pressure wash and my cedar looks like new

Thank you for the video. Informative. Are you stripping a semi-solid stain or a dark transparent? Product you are using seems to work very well. I'm currently researching contractors in my area (Northern Virginia) to strip semi-solid from my cedar siding and trying to get idea of the amount of labor required.

Can this technique and product be applied to exterior latex based paints. We have wide plank wood siding with live edge that looks terrible painted, but might look great stained solid, or clear.

Just use sodium metasilicate followed with Oxalic acid. You can purchase at Stain and Seal Experts!

If they strip the top first the water would run down and wet the lower boards. This way the next row that they do will be dry for the chemicals to work

So if you apply the chemical from bottom you should wash from bottom up reason being all the stripper is running off the siding as he is cleaning. tip of the day
