In this video you will learn how to strip wires to prepare them for splicing. We are focusing on stripping single conductor insulation by using my favorite kind of wire strippers (the yellow accent angled handles!).

There are MANY ways you can strip wire, but this was my favorite way, especially when you are working in a large 12x12 box with many wires, the wire strippers with a spring made things really easy and fast.
You may see a lot of seasoned journeyman stripping wire with their pliers. Whatever works for you.. but the main thing I REALLY wanted to get across to you was the INTEGRITY of the wire. Copper is a SOFT metal (not as soft as Aluminum), so we must treat it with care! If you score the wire like I showed how I've seen many electricians strip wire (both electricians and journeymen), it severely weakens the copper!
