Oh my gosh, thank you so much! I have been playing the ukulele for roughly 8 months, and I just haven’t been able to understand alternate strumming patterns until now. You explain things so well, and I finally feel like I get it. Thank you! You are truly a blessing.

I love your teachings, I have been playing since 2018 (just strumming 🤷♀️) but have always wanted to learn fingerpicking so I looked up Arpeggios and found your channel, so happy I did - it’s a game changer. I’m trying to learn Chord Melodies as well. I started out with a concert size Uke and have advanced to Tenors and Baritones because I love the deep richness in sound. Thank You for all your hard work that it takes to do a KZbin channel I am watching you daily

Is it possible to strum along without not knowing any notes, say if people are playing and I have a Ukulele and just want to strum along, no music sheets etc. Or like just try to learn 2 or 3 cords only. I'm in a yachting crowd, they all play very well, but I really don't want to learn everything, but just be there when asked. I tried to learn before, but failed miserably. Thanks.

Thanks for the question! Choosing a uke has more to do with what feels and sounds good to you, and what fits within your price range. I'd suggest watching some of the KZbin videos out there on different size ukes and how to choose one. My best recommendation is to go to a music shop and try out a bunch, from sopranos to tenors and see which you like best. I've really enjoyed playing Kala brand ukes. This was my starter uke and it's a great instrument! amzn.to/2NaxvCi

You're not alone...many beginners struggle with strumming and rhythm. You'll see improvement over time with regular practice. Try to be patient with it and I encourage you to keep going 👍😊

@@LaraMarkowitzMusic But for a beginner would you say strumming is the best way to start?
@LaraMarkowitzMusic Жыл бұрын
@@gareeall Strumming is the most common way to start, however, some players are most interested in fingerpicking rather than strumming/singing songs. I started with both when I was a beginner. I don't think there's a "best" way. I encourage you to focus on what most interests you and whatever you practice is what you will become good at 😊
