My parents got me a cheap uke way back and sounded terrible, losing interest.. until I saw your videos, went and bought a uke today for $100 that sounds way better. Gonna be bingeing your vids for awhile. Thank you for being an inspiration.

Same here bro. My first ukulele was this tiny little thing. Which gave me the impression that the ukulele was the dumbest musical instrument in the world. It wasn't until a few months ago, that I ended up buying a much bigger ukulele for around $150 that I had a whole new respect for this instrument and now I absolutely loved It 😁

OMG, YES!!! I wish I had found this months ago when I first started learning. Strumming was what I was getting most tripped up on. I would learn the chords first and then just fumbled my way through the strumming. I love that there is no wrong. I was so afraid that I was messing it all up. Thank you!!!!

One of your most helpful videos yet!!! I started playing ukulele in march 2015 and as soon as it arrived in the mail I immediately went to youtube and discovered your channel! Thank you so much for all the work you put into your videos! I remember when I had to pause every few second to carefully re-arrange my fingers into the right chord 😂 and being so proud the first time I was able to follow a video along in real time. You are an excellent teacher! Also, I recently applied to a drama program in which they gave you the option to include a "special skill" in your video audition, so I included a video of myself playing "Here Comes The Sun." I was chosen as a finalist and put through to the final round! I find out next Saturday if I made it in or not, but I guess I just want to say thanks for helping me cultivate a passion for something I probably would have put down after two weeks and not picked back up again had I not had a teacher. I wish you the best!

I find it helpful to use this video to practice with by 1) slowing it down to 3/4 or even 1/2 speed to initially get it down and 2) looping from one place to another over and over again (requires a KZbin add-in). Now if there was a way to change his accent. Just Kidding. Greatest Uke video I have found for beginners interested in playing songs with something other than a D-D-D-D strum pattern. Thanks for doing this Dude.
