Starting on 1st December, 2023, all colleges/universities must submit their LOA's to IRCC; in turn, IRCC will verify your LOA against its files before study permit issuance. IRCC plans to publish a Trusted School List by Fall 2024. It will consider factors such as: student retention rate; program on-time completion rate; teacher to student ratio; percent of revenue from international student tuition; programs to support students (scholarships, mental health counseling, job fairs, etc.); and housing availability. In 2024, IRCC plans to overhaul PGWP, in line with market condition and immigration targets. Minister Miller stressed the need for construction (residential and domestic housing), trade, and health care workers.

(1) Learn about in-demand occupations in Canada - IRCC announced 82 prioritized occupations in 2023; (2) Learn about in-demand occupations in each province - review PNP prioritized occupations and streams; (3) Choose an occupation to study; (4) Select a province based on PNP for your occupation; (5) Choose a school in the province. Not all occupations are prioritized under category-based Express Entry (i.e. 82 prioritized occupations). Thus, PNP is the only chance for many occupations. Also, the prioritized occupations list can be changed every year by IRCC.
