Hey Adanna! Just wanted to say I love your videos, they’re very informative and love seeing when you’ve uploaded. I would highly highly appreciate if you could do a video going over the material/ subjects you’ve learned in PA school. PA school is my ultimate goal, so I wanna see what I’m getting myself into. Haha thanks in advance!

Hi Adanna, this video was meant to be: I was accepted at a PA program! It is like a dream.. If I may ask, the pharmacology diagram at 6:08 is beautiful! Can you provide a link so we may download it? It will help us construct our own when the time comes. Thank you for all that you do for us.

Not sure if I watched this already but felt like I would watch it now. My first test I failed it. Got a 72. Physiology. 2nd week after classes started. Took my anatomy exam 1.. got a 82. We have so many slides it’s crazy. Especially this first since it should be review but I haven’t taken bio 1 (stuff from phsy) since 2009. And anatomy since 2011 I think. Two physical diagnoses quiz 100%. History taking 5 question quiz 100. Cultural competency which we heard was actually super hard 10 questions 80%. Not sure what I got on my first pd physical but I think an a. Second one I got a 97. I think that’s all we have taken in the first 3 weeks. The thing we have to focus is anatomy and physiology first semester. So I’m just stressing but hopefully I’ll get better.

You'll be fine. Remember that this is a semester long thing. Trend your graded up and ask to sit down with your instructor to see what you missed on the test you failed. It will give you insight in if it was just a lack of knowkedge, understanding, or self-doubt (second guessed yourself and just changed you answer) thus will help you tremendously in future exams.

Ive watched all your videos, but I can't remember if you've said how long you have classes everyday? I'm sure it changes every 6-7 weeks or whatever, but what is your weekly schedule? Anyway you could put it on an excel to show us? I want to know if your program (and others) are truly 8-5? I'm also wondering bc you say you study 4-5 hours a day but that you're in bed by 11. If your program was 8-5, this would be nearly impossible? Please lemme know! I'm super curious! Love your vids
@AdannaThePA7 жыл бұрын
+Maddy Lewis my schedule is petty consistent for 12 to 15 weeks depending on if we're in the summer, fall, and spring semester. It doesn't change the only time it may change is if we have to come in earlier that 8 or stay later than 5/530. I know you think it sounds odd studying 4-5 hrs after school finished. It that's pretty accurate we get out of school anywhere from 430 to 530, then I stay at school study till about 7 go home make my kids their meal get ready for bed then study till 1030 1045. On had days where there may be a test coming up I may stay awake longer 12 the latest. It's not easy but 4hat is why I stated my life is compartmentalized. I work on a video where I get my schedule up for you guys and I am planning on doing a school day in the life of a PA student so you'll get to experience it with me. Stay tuned for that one.

I was wondering, do you ever burn out from studying too much? and if you do then what do you do to refresh your mind?
@AdannaThePA7 жыл бұрын
+Christina Duong I did burn out early on in my summer session when I was still figuring things out but now with how I tend to study in blocks or certain glasses on certain days I don't really get burnt out. I definitely take time for myself and my family and also the major thing that I feel helps me stay fresh is my Sabbath rest. I don't study at all sunset Friday to sunset Saturday which helps me a lot because it's just such a relief to not have to think about school.

Hey Adanna, this year is my first year in college and I’m going for my PA. I’m really scare and I was wondering did you feel this way? How hard and stressful is it?

Hi Adanna I was wondering if I can have some of your study guide?
@christinavecchio56057 жыл бұрын
you said you study for 4-5 hrs a day, so do you break up each class in that time? Like study one class for about 2 hrs and another for 2 hrs?
@AdannaThePA7 жыл бұрын
+christina vecchio what I study is based on my week. If I have a test in a particular class the next day, I study that class longer. If I don't have a test coming up I'm a study each class for one hour or depending on if I feel like I need a little bit more studying in a particular class to gain a better understanding of subject matter that I didn't quite understand while in class I'll study that a little bit longer but it's all dependent on my schedule for the week and then how comfortable I am with the material.
