Yeah, I just did the uworld qbank. Got through maybe ~80% of it. Did all of the CCS cases and one practice test. Got a 209. I’m so glad that it’s over
@VM-wt3ti4 жыл бұрын
how did you study for CCS?
@Paspaspas124 жыл бұрын
V M I did all of the UWORLD CCS cases as if I was taking the actual test. I made sure to read through the explanation for the ones that I didn’t do well on. After a while I started seeing the patterns and got pretty good at it. I felt well prepared for the CCS portion of the test

You stopped uploading for a while but glad to see you're doing well. Thanks for all the study motivation even though I now study something else instead of medicine :)

hi, I'm doing the step 3 six years after finishing step 2 (already at the end of my residency in plastic surgery). it appears that the questions in step 3 are more difficult than former steps as they offer two much information in each question and there is little time to go through the information and notice all critical facts that affect your judgment while selecting the proper answer. is that just me or is this true in general? do you have any idea how I can improve my skills in quickly mapping the question and focusing on relevant information to be able to find the correct answer? thanks

Just being honest here.. It takes me like 4+ hours to go through a 40 block question set and completely review all the explanations and answer options. And that is without writing anything, annotating anything, or referring to an outside reference source. How in the hell do you: complete 100+ questions a day, completely review them and gain a good understanding of why the answer is what it is and the other options are wrong, annotate a study book of choice, AND still have time to review wrong answers and notes all in the same day, all while working full time on a service? Light service or not, this seems impossible on the best of days to me. :(

Same here, I guess he just breezes through the questions and does not read the whole thing. I do not relate at all on the times he is talking about. It also takes me about 4 hours to answer and review the questions.

I really like your videos very helpful in guiding the students preparing for the test.Just a correction that step3 UWorld has about 1550 questions so if you do 2 blocks per day you can finish the whole Qbank in about 19/20 days.

Any specific advice for giving step 3 before residency ?
@talentedt36716 жыл бұрын
Doctor please try to talk about the examination or the best resources for that ..

Can one take break of 2-3 years between step 2 Ck and Cs if he doesn't have the means to take tests consecutively? Secondly, step 1 and 2ck are mostly theory related and there are alot of resources available for them, but what to do for CS and step 3. I mean US system is very different. How can one gain clinical exposure (especially one who can't afford US rent)?

@adriandanekennym.d.11856 жыл бұрын
As an IMG, if you are planning to apply to programs in the United States of America, then the programs expect you to pass step 3 before or while applying to programs.
@fi8666 жыл бұрын
@@adriandanekennym.d.1185 You aren't required to pass step 3 when applying as IMG. However, you are expected to take it during or before your third year of residency. It may differ program to program though, and I'd recommend he call and ask.

Docossareh, I viewed a few of your videos and I like them thanks. I'm a older student that's going to apply to a Caribbean medical school in around a year. In one video a statement was made that the secrets series of books you got in trouble. Did it take up to much of your time. I just got the Cardiology Secretes book and I really like the book but, my time is limited. I have first aid USMLE 1 but, I'm really enjoying cardiology. What the best plan to prepare? I've been out of school for years and I want get a head start. Dr NaJeeb's videos are great. I just finished his Cardiology Physiology and Cardiology pathophysiology videos which are great. Any other great video lectures ? I've heard USMLE RX is great and pathoma but, the funds are low. Please supply feedback. Thanks again.
