It's part of the natural progression for New Lights to work on getting to soft and hard cap first. Then to go about working on challenging content that includes Champions. This is the best place for a newer player to encounter a champion without having to go into a nightfall or raid, and not have to compete with someone for the stun.

You don't need to be able to complete the Lost Sector, just find the Champions you need for the guardian progression.... 🤷‍♂️

2:43 I’m really new.. so I know nothing 😅 But you say solar is one of the surges, and then show the modifiers on the flag menu thing, but where does it say anything about solar? (I see the arc, and void shield types, etc. but where’s the solar surge thing you talk about?)

At 1:44 When I choose to start the activity you can see all the symbols on the bottom left. When you hover over them it will tell you what each mean, including the surges.

Supercluster shotgun and LE Monarque bow and Chivalric fire sword One is unstoppable champion, barrier champion, and overload champion

The Le Monarque Bow will work for Overload champs with a full draw and the poison can keep them from recovering health. For Barrier champs you will need a Sidearm and the Piercing Sidearms mod on the Artifact, or an exotic that says it has anti barrier built in. For Unstoppable champs you will need either a legendary bow or hand cannon with the mod from the Artifact, and you have to hold down the aim on weapon to allow an unstoppable payload to load into the weapon (You'll see it pop up when it's ready).

Nope, unfortunately. The Champions you need to farm are only there on Legend and Master difficulty.

Been having trouble getting the last 6 barriers for rank 7. I can pop the shield but I don't get the stun notification. I've used ticcus bow and sunshot but no notification on stun. Do I need a particular mod ?

You either need to be radiant at the time of the bubble. Or you have to use the sidearm mod in the artifact and use to sidearm to pop the bubble after it is down.

In the fall 2024 season, the artifact for Barrier champs calls for a scout rifle, or a grenade launcher, as an anti-barrier weapon. This is a waste of time if your unweighted power is around 2002. Not everyone owns a Wishender bow. I suggest using a scout rifle whose element matches the surge, and an Arbalest rifle to bust open the shield once the scout rifle whittles down the boss's health to 60% (which procs his shield to reveal itself). The barrier champ can only be stunned once this happens.

Just keep an eye on the lost sectors. They will eventually have one with unstoppable champs. And you can load them up solo.

It's just the easiest way right now, considering the Artifact has only barrier sidearms. A lot of people are also using the Rocket Pistol from the dungeon as it pops the barrier quickly.

@jrodplays Use a sidearm, like I do. I don't want it easier. I want it more difficult. It's a game, not the NBA, where everyone gets paid, everyone can make 3s and every game is 140-130. I don't want to win every time. I could use Wish Ender and plow through it. I choose average weapons on me. It's a GAME. Not, hand me everything. They cater to children. That's why the game is shit now and nobody I know, since we played with developers in D1, still plays. Not one person on my list still plays this game out of about 200. Not exaggerating. Not one. Die hards that have 200+ Raid clears. Nobody
