I think they just haven't found versatile black boots. Many black boots have an awful silhouette, and the material is often suede. Boots need to be minimalistic and entirely black, otherwise, they might not serve the outfit.

I not even had a black boot, but I think black boots and black pants can look a bit too matchy matchy, while the brow because people usually dont wear dark brow pants, it will have some contrast with most other pants, it can be light or dark jeans, black pants, beige or dark or light grey pants. I think thats what they are thinking.

black boots not being versatile is such a crazy take to me, i wear them in essentially every outfit fall, winter and through most of spring, only really swapping for sneakers in summer (gets quite hot where i live). they’re my true fashion love, i can always come back to them and they’ve got my back

I bought in to the brown boots are more versatile and bought some. Almost every time I put them on I thought, man, black boots would look so much better. That's just my personal opinion obviously but I think black is more versatile for my wardrobe. It's mostly gray, black and white

the reason why people say that brown boots are more versatile then black boots is because they are more casual. They also work better with jeans. Black boots might work better for black denim and khakis though.

I love these videos 🙂 I was wondering about the 'best' way to cuff a pair of jeans so that the details (like the text on the Virons) are more visible? I'm conscious about over-cuffing in case it looks silly. Any ideas anyone?

It really depends on the pants. Some cuff well like selvedge denim for example, and some look terrible cuffed.

Do you mean it's the fabric that you're trying to cuff, as opposed to the cut of the jeans? I've got some 13oz Nudie selvedge jeans (still no fades 😒) that are a regular fit on me, but whenever I choose my Virons to wear, I gravitate towards my black Levis 'stretchy' slim-fitting jeans. I usually spend about 10 minutes each time messing around with the leg openings to get the 'right' look, and am never sure whether I've accomplished it, or whether instead I'm just inviting people to point and laugh.

I would do some research into the best quality for the price. Solovair are a decent entry boot as they are pretty easy to style and they have a simple design. I would avoid anything from ASOS and H&M etc as it probably won’t last.

It’s 90cm but I should have got an 80. I had to put more holes in it. I would get your true size. Type in on Google the size and it will tell you what waist it’s for

People who say black in general isn’t versatile must be colorblind.
