I'm 49 now and have been wearing jeans since my very early childhood. I have always loved dark denim. ALWAYS. Never liked or wore distressed jeans even when I was younger though I did tear some pepe jeans in college but didn't wear them. For some years now I am a big fan of levis 511 as they resemble 501s a bit which I used to wear before. Recently ordered the 512s and love them too ❤

Blake's look is very well done! Not something I think I would be able to pull off but bravo! John's look is probably what I tend to wear the most, I just love cardigan-jackets (cardi-kets?). George... yes that was 10 years ago for me! Regardless, great looks all around guys.

All 3 styles look great. John's getup is age and size appropriate for me. I even think it's also appropriate even for young professionals. I've always been a fan of smart casual, kinda Ivy League vibe or Ralph Lauren style, so I think John's getup looked awesome.

Honestly wear what you want, I'm about to hit the 50 and I still wear light color jeans (including faded, light blue, white) and even chino's is nice colors (baby blue pinks, etc.). Don't be afraid of colors as you get older, the reason darker looks good is because it's slimming, which is why older folks tend to wear dark. Now the suggestion about fabric / style (not color) is spot on as certain things (shoes, shirts) might not work well together stylistically. Honestly if you are in shape, got your grooming down, have some appropriate kicks, I rock Blakes look all the time in office and John's look is a typical cool weather vibe for me. Sorry George ripped jeans is one of those aesthetics I never got into young or old.

Great video and advices. I'm 35 but look wery young. Half of my jeans are dark denim(for more dressy look) a second half more like blue or dark blue jeans for more casual outfits(hoodie, tshirt). Very lightwash only for summer vey casual occasions. I need try dark grey jeans i think its the proper choice for olders with jeans colours

I'm 6'4" too with a belly so, i've been told to try n wear light color pants to drape over my chicken legs and darker tops to mask the chub. But i have to admit, John looks the slickest. Sorry guys, John crushed it on this one. I wouldn't be caught dead in clothing that someone ripped up BEFORE I ever bought it. It's tacky at any age. And I still can't stand loafers, so that's another fail for me. Some guys pull them off, but the vast majority look like 1. a little kid their mom dressed in dorky shoes, or 2. grandpa joe laying poolside gazing creepily at the waitresses.
