I upgraded to the fur lined Jadon's last winter and they were a GAME CHANGER, I don't even live in "that cold" of a climate, but as a ~chronically cold foot girlie~ it made all the difference. I'm also a size 8.5, and the fur lined in size 8 fits perfectly even though my regular Jadon's in a size 8 are a tinge snug.

I rediscovered my Docs this fall, and I can't stop wearing them! Same as you, idk why I felt like they had to be the "focus" of the outfit, or I always felt like they had to be worn w short bottoms so you could see them. As soon as I started throwing them on w baggy jeans I was hooked. I also for some reason didn't think you could wear them w straight leg jeans (not skinny but not baggy, my preferred fit), but I tried it and they look great too! I was almost gonna comment to tell ppl to try it, but your last outfit is exactly it! Jadons never go out of style, man. Period.

bought them secondhand (but basically new) almost 2 years ago and wore them literally everyday since then! I even went to london for a week long trip and had them on for the entire time, walking 15km per day. they’re the coolest and comfiest ever!

Hi Laini! I have Jadons in my correct size but they constantly give me crazy heel blisters/tear my heels up. I keep wearing them because I love them. But do you have tips on how to break them in? I have a few other styles of Docs but the Jadons are the only ones that do this.

I got Jadons my second year at uni and five years later they’re my most comfortable boot! My ultimate tip to break them in is to wear a blister plaster / tape a cotton pad to your heels and then wear one or two pairs of cotton socks over it! I found that this really helped break them in for me while preventing blisters. After a while I could get away with just wearing kinda thick socks in them so my heel / ankle area didn’t move around too much inside the boot. Hope this helps!

I second that, did exactly the same thing with mine - I wear them only in cold months so I have to repeat the process every year, but this year I got these padded trekking socks so I just do that and Im good! Weirdly enough its almost always just my left foot that needs to 'get used to it' so idk if its the boot or my foot that is the problem lol

Mine were a pain in the ass to break in, now they are very very comfy. It took persistence and pain but I made it through so you can too. Just wear lots of bandaids in the back of your heels, thick socks, and keep it going 🫡🫡 I know you will be able to make it, I found it helpful to take my hairdryer and warm up the sides and the ankle part of the boot before wearing them with thick socks and bandaids.

I asked the person working in the doc marten's store how to break in docs and she said that I should try putting them in the bathroom while showering because the heat and humidity will help soften the leather. I personally didn't try it (mostly bc I was scared I would damage them) but depending on how desperate you are... :D I always use tons of shoe cream/ shoe wax with my docs and I feel that this is also helps breaking them in
