My hair was super curly (full on Jewish fro) so at a young age I started to grow it out and found it far easier to stop the curls with long hair. Now I’m embracing them! Thankfully I bought curl smith products before even watching and used them to very good results but though I could do better. When you have unique hair, the extra mile is worth it. This video will help immensely when I wash it again in a few days. Thank you so much!

Thanks!! This was just the tutorial I needed! I have slightly longer hair, but I also have lots of it and yours was the first I found that had these similarities. I also appreciated the “like a ribbon” comment, that’s the step I’m missing in my routine. I’ve been trying to figure out where I’m messing up the steps, and I don’t think the combs I have are doing what I want them to. But that’s okay! I’ve got a Denman in the mail and now I know what I need to do with it 😄

Is blow drying essential when it isn’t freezing outside? Will air drying completely cause frizz? Also consider this another request for a video on what you do on the days in between those where you shampoo. Love this thanks for making these videos.

I used to air dry my hair all the time! I stopped because I feel like I have more control over it when it’s dry and it’s a pain to wait like 4-6 hours for it to dry on wash day.

hi. i had fun watching your videos, i am growing my hair for about a year now and we have the same type of hair. this tutorial helps me a lot to manage my frizzy curls.
@Urukior44 жыл бұрын
Cool to see another dude with similar hair to my own. I'm close to your length as well and this definitely teaches me that a denman brush is something I need to get. I've been struggling with my afaik very low porosity hair and trying to see if it wants protein or not. It doesn't *seem* to be protein overloading, but it's hard to tell.
@datwin4 жыл бұрын
So to be honest I’ve never really worried about the protein moisture balance thing. I think that if you have not colored your hair and it is otherwise healthy and not heat damaged you shouldn’t have to think about it too much. I’ve heard that if it feels gummy and stretchy (I actually feel Iike I can imagine what this is like) then you need protein since it’s over moisturized and if it feels dry and brittle and breaks easily you need moisture. I think most people with healthy hair should probably stay more on the moisture end of the spectrum.

I have been growing my hair out for over a year now. Last month I got my hair braided for the first time ever. I have curly hair and now my hair is long but I just can't stand it! I am so ready to shave my head bald right about now but my mom is insisting I keep it. I hate that the hair always gets in my face and it gets so puffy when it dries out that it looks horrible at the sides. Hair ties never work for me. I don't know anymore. At first I loved the long hair but now I just can't stand to see it so long and curly. I hate the amount of maintenance you need. How the hair gets all tangled and in such a frizzy mess every morning. But thanks for the video. I will try some of these tips and see where it goes.

You should look into Not Your Mothers Curl Talk line. Way cheaper but still natural ingredients and CGM friendly. But yeah check it out, I think you'd like it.

Quick question that I never seem to find the answer to : I only shampoo 2 to 3 times a week - but in the meantime I still get my hair under the water everyday under the shower since I have curly hair and that's the only way to get rid of the frizzes and sort of "reboot" my hairstyle. I just don't use shampoo and don't rub them or anything. Also, I have extremely itchy scalp - any link with that? Or any solution? Thanks!
