I have both conches done. The first one was my right, done in 1994 at 14 gauge. That one was easy---it healed in 6 months. The left was dermal punched at 4 gauge in Oct. of 2020. That one hurt like an SOB, and took almost a year to heal, but is OK now. I won't go any smaller than 14 gauge for the right one, and now am wearing a horseshoe bar in it, and the left has a 4 gauge silicone tunnel in it, with a 14 gauge clicker through the tunnel. The jewelry shown in the video is gorgeous, but I believe it's 16 gauge, right? (Jan Griffiths).

I'm just using a cuff. A pretend conch peircing. I have 2 lobes on both ears and a new helix in ny left ear. I'm affraid to get this peircing because i just can't part with my earbuds for even 6 months. I have small ear canals. The buds i own cover my entire conch. I imagine that woukd hurt!! I do love it though. Very pretty. I like the hoop in this one though. Not in love with the studs here. I do like my helix stud though. 😊

I’ve been wanting to get more piercings and to get my ears styled, but I want to go to someone with a fantastic reputation but is also nearby. Any tips on finding someone who can do everything perfectly? Is there a website I could go to that would tell me certain people who are in my area that have a good reputation?

You have to go to Yelp and read reviews. Talk to people who have healed piercings and find out where they got them done, and their opinion of the piercers. Call a studio near you and find out if they do the piercing you want, and if they use implant grade internally threaded jewelry. And visit a few studios and talk to the piercers if possible.
