What is the white opaque material on the back? i see other videos of people applying it to other types of glass. Is it a seperate material i need to buy and if so can you name and link where i might be able to get some? Thanks, great video.

The white side that you are seeing is the sublimatable coating. For these specific pieces of glass, the sublimation coating is already applied and you do not need anything extra. Here is a more updated video where our sublimation specialist goes through the contents of the box when you order these: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zou6nJqnd96Xbpo You will also see a link to the product in that video. Hope this helps!

I realize this old video . What is the pin called that you use to make the plate stand up.
@JDSINDUSTRIES2 жыл бұрын
We have them labeled as "Silver pins", however, we do not sell replacements. If you give our sublimation team a call they may be able to send you one. 855.782.4657. Hope this helps!

Can this be done without a backing on the glass for a transparent image?
@JDSINDUSTRIES4 жыл бұрын
Technically yes. To be honest, the SubThat does not work well on glass since the formula of the product was changed to allow for a better shelf life. We will be discontinuing the product next year.

Are you using a specific type of glass? I tried this method with sublimation paper, paper jack ink however, I was not successful transferring it. Nothing went on the glass. I am not sure what I am missing.
@JDSINDUSTRIES3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the glass have a polymer coating that is necessary for sublimation.

@@JDSINDUSTRIES Thanks for responding! Can I purchase glass that has this coating on it already? If so from where? Or is there a way to do this coating myself and not have streaks?
@JDSINDUSTRIES3 жыл бұрын
@@byetch1793 You can purchase plane glass (with no hole for the stand) at Bison Tiles - www.bisoncoating.com/category_s/98.htm. Coating products yourself is very difficult; leave it to the experts. :-)

Can you use parchment paper rather than the teflon sheets? (Some videos show using a thin silicon sheet for heat?)
@JDSINDUSTRIES5 жыл бұрын
Yes you can use parchment paper or unwaxed butcher paper

It would be best to put a background color behind the logo to make it stand out.

You can also pile up several layers of unquilted paper towels. About 10-12 layers.

how to sublimation on Weizen,pilsner and other types of glass?
@JDSINDUSTRIES8 жыл бұрын
JDS does not sell glass drinkware for sublimation so we cannot tell you how to sublimate them. However, all items for sublimation do have to have the poly coating on them to make them sublimatable.
