Great video, thank you so much I have received my 186 form but my passport will expire within 5 months, so can I submit the 186 form with my current passport (and then after notaryCam verification I can renew it) , or you advise me to renew my passport first , and then to submit the form 186 (knowing that it takes 1 month process for passport renewal in my country). I don't think your passport has to be valid for a certain period of time, however, you can definitely check. Also, if you are not in a hurry, I would encourage you to renew.

But you need to update your address with ECFMG, once you change your address at any time. This is because ECFMG may mail you or communicate with you at this address. The importance of having a full and current address is that ECFMG may send you important documents such as ECFMG certificate. So it is recommended to put current mailing address, it does not matter what address you have on passport. If you think, you will receive mail then it is OK. You can always update your mailing address on file. Hope it helps.

I have uploaded my passport and form 186 in the notarycam website last day. but they didn't send me any mail. from notarycam dashboard, the only thing I can see is that my folder is 'created'.. there are other options too like "processed, completed" etc.... my question is, should I wait for the mail? or do I need to do something more? please reply

Please wait for the email from Notary. They will verify that those uploaded documents are correct and then will send you a link. It should be within next few days. Hope it helps.

Hi , sir notarycam successfully notarized my form 186 at 24-06-22 and received an email from notarycam immediately . Today is 13-07-22. I've not received any email from ECFMG yet regarding confirmation. I emailed them at 29-06-22 but they replied to wait for 5 business days further. Now 17 business days have passed. My profile still shows the status as "waiting for certification of identification form " . What should I do now?

@@zainabkiyani9 you have to do nothing at all. 1)Just go to notarycam website and make an account there 2) Then upload your form 186 file and scanned copy of passport/CNIC there. They will send you email to have a meetup online to sign your form 186. They will do everything in completing your form including online signature. You don't have to worry at all. Just go through 2 steps mentioned above

That means ECFMG did not receive your form 186 yet or is in the process. I think ECFMG is taking some time. Generally, it takes 10 business days. Did you receive an email from NotaryCam mentioning they sent the form to ECFMG? Generally, Notary does that.

So, at this point, I would encourage you to keep patience. You do not need to do anything. NotaryCam should send the verified form to ECFMG, once it is processed by the ECFMG, it will be automatically updated. ECFMG is taking more time than usual. If you are still interested, give them a call.

I accidentally typed my email id wrong for the notary cam part(form 186) and uploaded my documents(form 186 & passport). Later I created another account with correct email id and uploaded my documents. Is it ok..or else should i do something..plz help..

It happens, no worry. I would say wait for 1-2 business days, if you do not hear back anything from Notary Cam, email or preferably call them, they are so helpful, email: [e-mail], phone: [phone]. Hope it helps.

Doc, is it normal to Wait for source verification process as late as 6months? MCC receive my document 6 months ago and they told me as they forwarded to ECFMG then I heard nothing from the US organization. I emailed them last week but I haven't received anything yet from MCC.

No, this is not normal. ECFMG sends that document to your medical school and most of the time school does not reply or is not aware of how to reply. I would suggest you see the history of that particular document in your account, I mean when did ECFMG receive that document and send it to your medical school. Then contact your medical school. The other problem I noticed, ECFMG sends documents through regular mail, and in most cases, it is lost on their way to your school. You can consider courier services such as DHL, FedEx in that case. Hope it helps.

@@nomemorization1128 After I received the first notification e-mail about the acceptance of my medical credentials and then I was focusing on MCCQE1 exam. I thought ECFMG will let me if something wrong happened on the way to source verification but this was a mistake. It would be nice if I followed with MCC and my school. No one filled up the ECFMG electronic form from my school util I called last week. The message for other IMGs is don't depend on your school personnels ; communicate with them frequently.

However I noticed a disparity between my passport name (which includes my middle name) and that of ECFMG, which only requested a first name/middle name which I assumed to mean that I can only give one of the names. My pleasure. So, if it is not open, it might be you do not have the pdf software. If the Notary can open it, it is ok. Regarding iPod, on website it says, you need access to a desktop or laptop computer with a webcam and audio. Did not mention iPod, so my suggestion is not to use it. Hope it helps.
