I have always been really good at faceoffs mainly because i switch around my combos but this video really helped to teach me the counters to what I was using! It really was confusing at first because i needed to keep the videos open at all times but once I learned them I could handle alot of players! great vid!

New subscriber here, been loving this series and looking forward to the HUT one. I'm one of the guys that doesn't spend any extra money on HUT so I'll be interested to see your take on it. Any plans to do a fighting strategy video? I know it's a very minor part of the game, I always tend to lose though so I rarely get into fights as a result. It seems like it's a similar rock-paper-scissors concept compared to faceoffs. Keep up the good content!

Holy crap never realized it was literally like rocks paper scissors. Knew there were different ways to win a draw but thought it always went to the player who timed it better and figured I kept getting beat cuz of lag or random bullshit lol. Now I know!

don't take any offense or whatever but like as a smaller KZbinr(you) do you have any advice on how to get started and just general tips and stuff if I am thinking about starting one?

Stussy Gaming for sure man, first thing is to write some vids. Every video I make I write out first that way it flows and doesn't come off as just talking. Second is when you make a vid get it out everywhere. Reddit, twitter, twitch, everywhere.

Hey Sleeve, thanks for a great vid! I do have another weird problem tho.. Everytime when a game in NHL17 HUT goes to 3v3 overtime, my RW steps in to do the face offs, which is ridiculous since he only have like 60 in face off skill. Making me loose alot of face offs when i really need to win them. I cant seem to find any way to re-arrange this either, maybe it's really easy fix since i cant find anything on how to solve it? :O
@SleevelessGaming7 жыл бұрын
yeah its a problem EA has, literally nothing can be done. good news is your opponent cant do anything either so usually its close. I use the Sharks in VS and since they have so many centers who play the wing (pavelski, marleau, hertl) they have great faceoffs for wingers so that might be something to look into bro!
@Namedyr7 жыл бұрын
Allrite, so basically put a good C on the wing then! :p Thanks for clearing that out, that its actually a "bug" or something. Cus why on earth would you put someone who's aweful at face offs, on face offs? Makes no sense :'D

Cool thx a lot I'm going to try it out I'll let you know boss ... and the way you explain your videos 👍🏻 and 1 last thing I be missing open net goals or when there's a scramble around the net and the puck is loose what do I press on the Xbox 1 just to push the puck in I be pressing x am I pressing the correct button plz help me thx I appreciated
@SleevelessGaming7 жыл бұрын
i think you wanna hit L1 on ps4 and LB on XBOX, thats the poke check button, that would help poke it into the net in those situations
@A_Pancake7 жыл бұрын
You got a pretty sweet intro

Thx a lot boss but I use the hybrid I don't use the stick so it won't be LB

pretty good tutorial, although you should have used visual aids with the controller and the movements. it's still less confusing than other videos

il be honest. usually i will not post a vid unless im completely happy with all the things i put in the vid and the quality is there. this vid took me almost 6 hours haha, the editing was brutal, i had to search through 40 gameplay footage for the clips and by the end i just wanted to get the vid out there with the best explanation possible to help with faceoffs. I agree i deff needed to do the controller image.
@btrainiscool7 жыл бұрын
Sleeveless Gaming well, i for one appreciate the effort you're putting into these. it shows! and as someone (with a below average connection) whose taken over 2000 faceoffs in eashl this year, countering the other center is crucial to winning. i think career im right around 60%

thanks for the feedback!
@washingtonrojas98737 жыл бұрын
That's why I said the X button is to poke I want to be able to put it in the net there's lots of times that I do t score on those situations and I loose 2-1 90% of the time on open nets and the puck just laying there smh
@jiml88017 жыл бұрын
I keep losing face offs. Can you please add how to analyze / recognize the stance of the enemy so I know how to determine which variant I should apply? Also the camera angle of the game is very far that every face off looks the same to me. Hope you can help cause all other tutorial sick...
