Gather as much evidence as possible. The more evidence you have have with people lying on you and partnering up to do so is a win for you. And if it’s multiple people, you can sue every last one of them.

I had this happened at my former job. A man lied and told that we had sex and this rumor and others spread all over the workplace. I filed with EEOC but I can't get an attorney. I was also treated badly by my employer and eventually fired for trying to defend myself.

You list your job thats a claim check in with your locar bar association and hire an attorney

@1mikesofocused42 I will try. My deadline expired for Eeoc, so I don't know what to do. That church has so many connections where they can get people to hide things for them. They know many lawyers.

In my case, it doesn't seem like it's possible. I worked at a United Methodist church, and lies were spread that I was having sex with a man, which never happened, and my name was slandered. No lawyer would take my case even when I went through eeoc.

@shaylormalisa6049 I don't know. They fired me after I complained and said that it was because I was tardy too many times. The man is the one who started the rumors saying that I was having sex with him in the bathroom after hours. I don't know who else heard this lie outside of the church. It's hard to get a job in daycare when you've been fired because they assumed that you did something bad when it all started with a lie.

Hello Im actually thinking of changing my name because of this. I have cried over comments made in my name publicly for years and im ready now to change my name however before i do i want it made public the damage done. It is no different than discrimination of color. Ive been made fun of at jobs on internet for years. Im really hurt i have to change my name again i want people tp knpw its not cool to call someone namesor make fun of them. Its bullying. I literally am affected by the slander and mental anguish.
