I am always drawn back to this channel after watching other people provide tutorials on excel. Your teaching style is easy to follow yet informative. I appreciate that you are confident in the message you are getting across and that you always include small details like Ctrl + Backspace to return to the top of the column after making a selection. Great Video again Leila - I needed this recently, however my criteria were not in adjacent cells so passing the range to SUMIFs was not an option.. instead I ended up with something like this =SUM(SUMIFS(J:J,C:C,M:M,{"Asia","Europe"})) works perfect and gets around the Zero issue aswell, albeit you have to maintain the array within the formula.

Exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find in the go to Excel forums, while this is such a commons information need. One remark (perhaps good to mention) is that I do not use the American notations, but European. So the formula will use semi colums for instance.

For Office 365 users, the formula demonstrated at 2:52 in this video can be enhanced with the TEXTSPLIT function: Rather than typing Asia and Europe in separate cells, use a delimiter to input them in the same cell. For example, type Asia;Europe in cell G3, then in cell G5 use the formula =SUM(SUMIFS(D2:D28,A2:A28,G2,B2:B28,TEXTSPLIT(G3,”;”))). This method works well if you need to add or remove items to your delimited criteria list, and it will still work if you only include a single item (ie: Asia only).
