@@mariaohno403 Hi there! Depends how you use your car, how dirty it gets. It’s recommended to have two basic details a month for a daily driver. Plus a full detail before the winter comes and another one in the spring. 🙂 it’s not recommended to polish (paint correct) the paint every year. Do it once, protect it and use safe wash methods do you won’t induce any swirls into the paintwork.

@@malusvir0 so far it’s been good. The first 3 weeks or so I had a good amount of people reaching out. Most of them came through, meaning I detailed their cars. Now I’m just having trouble getting customers. It’s most likely because I stopped putting ads out as much as I used to because life got in the way and I had personal problems to deal with. But don’t forget to do ads and ask for reviews after a day or two. Also I printed out business cards at staples for cheap, I’d recommend it as it helps getting your name out there as well. Currently I’m not mobile, I ask for water and electricity and I haven’t had a problem with that. Half my customers asked me if I need it and offered 👍 Best of luck to you!

I watched the whole thing, but my car is a piece of shit and not even worth washing. Lol I bought it from a guy that hit a tree, and I "fixed" it with a hack saw, pry bar, sledge hammer, and zip ties. The computer unit and horn are literally held on by zip ties because I cut away most of one fender and the attached mounting points.

Yeah that stuff always confuses me as well. If you don't like a video "enough" that you're compelled to give it a thumbs down, the least you can do is leave a comment and explain why you didn't like it. It is actually helpful to get feedback from viewers so you can always be improving. A down vote, just because, w/o any useful feedback is just people being d*cks.

Something important to mention is if you drop your clay bar, do not use it on paint anymore. You will be tempted to pick out the visible contaminants and keep using it. Do not do this. No matter how "clean" it looks. It isn't worth the risk. You can also cut your new clay bars in half, half a bar is easily enough to clay an average vehicle. This gives you more bars of clay you know are 100% clean, and if you drop it, you're not wasting the entire bar. Also, don't stop at the paint. Clay everything, glass, wheels, chrome, lights, trim, etc. You can also save older bars for less sensitive areas. I use new bars for paint, and have older bars designated for glass only, wheels only, etc. use before finally throwing them away when they're trashed. 👍👌✌

I already knew why detailers charged a quite a bit, but now its even more clear after watching this video. It's a lot of care and effort that is put towards making your exterior feel so fresh and new. I'm planning on doing this myself, but I have garnered even more respect for detailers. Just the exterior can be a lot of work, I can't even fathom the amount of effort required to clean the interior.
