Abbi Colman trust me I’m not too sure what to do either. Idk if you have but you’re going to need water supply for a course of 3 days. A charged phone. A flash light. Candles. Extra batteries. Canned foods you can eat without cooking. From where I’m at almost everything is gone, but I have family here with extra supply and we’re heading over today. Central Florida is most likely where it’s going to hit IF the forecasters are right. Orlando tends to get hit a little bit harder than Tampa to my knowledge. I’m heading out in a couple of hours today. Stay safe everyone ! Don’t panic. Stay in high ground because there might be flooding. And stay in a big closet or in a bathroom with no windows.

Abbi Colman no one really says anything because hurricanes here at normal, but I’m not from Florida at all so I understand what you’re going through. Just make sure you have a plan B. Also? If there is a state evacuation don’t leave. More ppl die that way in a rush getting out of state. You’re better off inside a home in a bathroom or closet with your supplies.

Why? During Katrina we were glad we evacuated. Hurricane evacuations are like mini vacations. Who wants to be stuck in a house for days with no water, electricity or EMS when you can just ride the storm out in a hotel or at a friends' house.

This will be the biggest to ever hit the Carolinas apparently. North Carolina anyway. I've been through at least 5-6 hurricanes but never any like this. I am anxious too. What is even more scary is that this thing is mimicking hurricane Harvey in a few different ways and we all know what that system did to Texas. I am almost certain this will be the highlight hurricane of 2018.
