Sooo, you got a lot wrong so far, an axle could run hot and it could derail at any spot in a train (which happens all the time). train wrecks shown in video aren’t that bad like 90 percent of the time (they are from movies), if a train hits an object, that will not damage the train. The train will plow through that thing like it’s snow. A head on crash will not crush the train cars, metal cars on trains under about 100 MPH just twist and flip flop, in some cases, they do crush a bit but not full on so the car is only 10 feet long at the end. DONT BE SCARED BY THIS VIDEO, IT IS FAIRLY INCORRECT!!! If you want to argue, please provide modern examples and studies!

More like: Step one: Think who will win, a 100 ton steel vehicle who is going, probably 80kmh or more. Or a little 4 wheeled car which can destroy itself by driving into a tree. Step two: Good luck on seeing a train on the same track, a few MINUTES before impact. Step three: Don’t thinks train crashes in movies go the same way as real train accidents.

What about surviving in a bus crash? Edit: In Singapore, we have Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) trains. None of them have seats that exactly face the front of the train. (Passengers would slide towards the side should anything happen) Passengers will have to either be seated or clinging onto the handrails tightly.

As somebody who knows a lot about trains, it is extremely likely that the train would be able to stop if a crash was minutes away. If the trains were that far apart in the first place, then there would probably be some sort of way for one train to pass the other at some point to avoid collision anyways.

That's a problem. When I'm older I'm likely going to be using my commuter train system (metra). The train does not rotate. So I don't know what is the safest seat. More importantly, if it do have to jump off an inbound train, I'd spell my doom. In that case, the rearmost car of the train, is the locomotive. If I attempt to get in, I'd be stuck, and if I jump from the car in front of the locomotive, I'd feel the weight of an f40ph running over me at 70mph. If it was outbound, the f40ph would be at the front, and I can safely jump from the back door on the driving trailer (cab car). If I had to jump off an inbound train, I'd pray to god it's on the south shore district(metra electric), as that line has multiple unit equipment, so no matter what way the train is going, It'd be safe to jump, plus, since it's electrical, there's no flammable diesel fuel on board, but there are overhead wires
